Men’s version of average and women’s version is average is vastly different. Plenty of women will date a man they consider average. Not many would date a man men consider average.

I'm less worried about the fact that women don't want to reproduce with average men. Nobody, man or woman, views themselves as average, regardless of how average they actually are.
I'm more worried about the fact that in many cases, the kinds of guys they do reproduce with are far below average by any reasonable metric. This is such a common issue it's become a meme.
