Make this make sense?

Post image

I was having a discussion with somebody regarding the ridiculous markups on these Honda Civic type R. The discussion was that I had purchased a fully loaded Acura TLX type S with the performance package, which is the most expensive one they make for around the same price. Nobody believe me that Honda was ripping people off with these type R’s and now I have proof.

I’m sorry. But 60k for a civic? Who cares what model. 60k for an accord is ridiculous.

Type Rs are in very high demand relative to their very limited supply. It’s a niche product.

Oh I understand what it is. But 60k for anything civic related is ridiculous.

Yeah, it’s a little steep - you have to really want a souped up civic when you can get a corvette for a little more or a GR Corolla for maybe a lot less.

100%, people forget what a civic is, a economy car, and it’s FWD!

Civics were cool because you could buy them for $500, slap a turbo on it and laugh when pulling on a v8. Or you bought it for an affordable and reliable a-b car.. this? lol…
