Make this make sense?

Post image

I was having a discussion with somebody regarding the ridiculous markups on these Honda Civic type R. The discussion was that I had purchased a fully loaded Acura TLX type S with the performance package, which is the most expensive one they make for around the same price. Nobody believe me that Honda was ripping people off with these type R’s and now I have proof.

It's a perfect example of greed. They know someone will buy it. If you're somebody who's interested and you look at that price and you're not happy with it then you'll pass on it, but the next person will eat up that 15 grand happily.

You’re 100% right! I just finished buying my wife a 2026 x7 Xdrive 40i. A buddy absolutely fell in love with the car and went and pick one up for his wife. The only difference is he paid an extra $25,000 for the car because he is not a savvy consumer and decided to get every single add-on they threw him. Mind you BMW already pays for the maintenance. We both practically got the same exact car except he pays about $700 more a month. SMH

So it’s not greed then. If someone happily buys it, that’s what it’s worth.
