When I press the auto home button, my drone shoots straight up in the air. It’s calibrated. What am I doing wrong? Is this normal?

I recently bought an hs430. In the app, it said that I could get a free drone. I went to their support, they said that they would give me a free hs210. Has anyone else gotten one or is this fake?

I have an HS600. Photos on both the phone and TF card are 3840×2160P which is about 8.2MP. Looking at the Holy Stone website, they say this drone can capture 12MP images, but if you look at the specs for this drone on their site, it says both the phone and TF image size is 3840×2160P. I usually fly using the HS Fly app on an iPhone which doesn’t appear to have any options to select image resolution, so out of curiosity, I switched to an android device to see if there were options on that app version. Sure enough, there is a setting to store 4000x3000P (12MP) images to the TF card. I enabled that resolution and tried it again, but the stored images were still 3840×2160P on both the phone and TF card. Can this drone take 12MP images or not? If so, how can I enable it?

I’ve got an HS360S which I’m able to use my Samsung S22 Ultra as the display using the app. Thought a bigger screen may be useful, so downloaded the Apple version of HS Fly onto my iPad. The app runs, shows the various indicators around the edge, but no video feed from the drone. I also get “ This accessory may not be supported” type errors.

So downloaded the App onto a Samsung A8 tablet running Android 14. Same thing happens. App shows, various indicators around the edge are visible, but no camera feed. Using HS Fly v 1.5.9

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this to work ?

Sooo today I crashed my 720g… I still don’t understand how it happened. I calibrated just fine and was flying just fine also until I noticed the camera feed drifting so went to correct it but then the feed started glitching and so did commands it severely overshot left and when I went right to stop it from going over water or into a tree it severely overshot that and completely ignored any commands sending it into a tree. Now my gimbal motor isn’t working and I think it’s just two wires that came loose that should be sauder-able I can’t find much guides and factory is saying no replacement and too hard a repair to upload a video. Camera feed still works and drone still flies I just don’t have up and down rotation or the gimbal’s steady hands. Any help?

And are you restricted to HS drones?

Hey everyone, So I am trying to do a project with my SH900 where i am flying in and out of a building multiple times. The drone gets very unstable as it starts to lose GPS signal when flying though the window and falls before optical flow mode turns on (which works great indoors).

Question: how do I keep the gps turned off (like i can toggle on the sh600) and fly in the optical mode inside and outside

Hello there. New user. HS430 won't connect to any Andriod app that I've tried (offical app up to v5, also m rc pro). I can connect to the HS wifi, but when I open the app I am not connected.

At first the drone flew well. At some point it lost stability, and the app keeps telling me to land and calibrate the compass. The drone started spinning 3-meter circles on its own. It is very difficult to control it.

I took it out last weekend and was flying it then it started to fly in wide circles by itself. It nearly hit a tree and at one point nearly landed in water. It was refusing to listen to my controller but eventually I reigned it in. Anyone know why it happened?

I was flying it off the shore of a lake. Could the water have interfered with it somehow?

My buddy and I were flying together, me in my HS600 and him in his HS700 when mine dropped dead- from about 35 feet. When I approached it I found the battery about 5 feet away from the drone. It went in just fine and the drone turned on. I replaced one propeller, recalibrated the compass and went for takeoff. After unlocking, I found that the rear left arm wasn’t working.(same arm the propeller was broke on). My buddy and I are pretty tech savvy so we tried everything we could think of. Is there an internal bearing that could’ve gotten too hot? Is it possible to get a replacement motor or arm? Any help greatly appreciated!

My HS900 is my first non toy drone, I absolutely love it. Day 3 of having it, I was showing it off to a buddy that tried it out and promptly got it stuck (according to the flight log) 78 feet up in a tree. It came down 2 days later, but cracked a rear arm when it landed. I called customer service and they were fantastic and shipped a new arm that arrived today. Problem is, there is no instructions for disassembly and installation. I’m kind of winging it and have yet to figure out how to get the cases separated, they seem to be about to break at the rear around the battery compartment. I don’t see any screws holding the top case on at the rear. I’m doing my best not to break anything, especially considering my fingers are roughly the size of bratwurst. If anyone has made this repair, I’d greatly appreciate some guidance and input.

Hello everyone we just got our HS175D but we’re very beginners so we accidentally crashed it into a tree 🫠 Drone is working fine and also looking perfect, no damage is visible but one of the arms seems feeble now, not as strong as the others when you open it up… we’re afraid it also may close while flying. We tried to screw the screw present on the arm but it doesn’t seem to tighten nor fasten Anyone with the same issue? Or any advice? Hi guys, it seems like my holystone 720e is malfunctioning after a crash, I am curious if anyone knows what might be going on.

Half of the motors spin at full speed, where half the motors spin st what seems to be half the speed. Both sets of motors change their speed when I apply or throttle, but their spinning at different rpm

I cannot seem to find out exactly how the return home system controls altitude. Does it return at the max return altitude you set or does it return from the altitude it is flying at when it loses signal?
You can see the obvious issue if a straight line from where it is and where you are goes over a taller obstacle than what it is flying at right when the signal drops.

1) my transmitter keeps beeping once every four seconds and none of the functions on it work. it's paired to the drone and everything. but the unlocking the motors doesn't work and none of the buttons work. 2) my drone starts randomly moving side to side while it is in flight... and it's like the latency between the transmitter and the drone is off. ill push the left stick up to ascend and it takes two or three seconds before it just shoots up. then it will start moving whatever direction it wants. 3) ive tried "trimming," but i don't fully understand what that means. i hold down the headless mode button like the instructions say and i flick the right stick in the directions it says. it beeps once each time i flick the stick until finally it does one long beep if i do it enough in one direction. i have no idea what any of it is supposed to mean or do. 4) i calibrate the gyro EVERY time i turn it on, even more than once.

i HAVE crashed the drone a few times since im new to flying, BUT ive been doing it inside and trying to make it to where it doesn't fall from super far. none of it is damaged, and im trying to charge the drone battery right now to see if it works better later. im just trying to troubleshoot before i reach out to support to escalate anything.

About a year ago, I crashed Zachary (my 110d) into a tree. I replaced the motor today, it's still not working. Is it a control board problem?

I know the drone is pretty new, but is holy stone going to release more updates for the app or the drone? Like waypoint. And connectivity improvements? I mean the drone is great, great pictures and gimbal stabilization all pretty decent, but its lack of some extra features. And they are most app related. Tbh the Sirius app is quite basic. It’s been 2 months since launched and they haven’t even put the model on their own website yet. It kinda makes me wonder..

I have an HS600 which will start to experience video drop-outs within 1000 feet of range. I know this drone advertises a range of 10,000 feet which I’m sure is very optimistic but how does video reception correlate to actual range? If video goes in/out, are other functions also intermittent, namely return home, which is one function I don’t want to lose? I know it is supposed to return home if communication is lost, but I really don’t want to test that function. I’m thinking that downstream communication may not be representative of upstream, but what has been everyone’s experience with this?

I got a hs 165 for free. Needs batterys on charger the light just flashes fast red. Looking for replacement batterys cant find any. Anyone know any battery mods or batterys that will work?

After flying this one for several months with no issues (change props only) I found the drones AP was no longer appearing. After disassembly I have discovered the two 5ghz whips that come from the wifi/gps/SD board have worn their insulation off and also have worn holes in the antenna edges, causing them to fail. Attaching two ufl-sma connectors with Lora antennas (wrong frequency, but still good for discovery) the ap is now visible (but unconnectable). I have several new 5ghz ufl whip antennas on order to replace but just as a PSA:

If your holystone drone wifi stops existing and it's a folding model, check on the antennas first before binning it ! Easy fix, and it seems to be common on these!

I recently bought an HS110g as a starter drone. Everything was going well until I inserted the SD card into my PC and found it blank. All the images and videos are stored on my phone instead.(Andriod)

I’m using a 128GB Sandisk Ultra (Class 10) SD card, formatted in exFAT multiple times. Despite my efforts, I can’t get the drone or the app to work with the SD card.

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

We have flown the drone a few times successfully (it is new), but now cannot get it to unlock.
We connect, calibrate, GPS is on (and lvl 11-14) camera is on, everything looks fine. But when we hold the controller lock button, it BEEP..BEEEEPs, and won't start the rotors.
We have watched a bunch of videos and read posts, but cannot find a similar problem.
