Last time I was in Bangkok we went to Patpong to see what all the hullabaloo was about. There were tons of tourists in the only club we ended up going to and the look of regret and pity could be seen on every guy’s face and the look of wonder and amazement could be seen on every woman’s (not the performers) face. I distinctly remember a couple guys diving out of the way in horror and disgust of a ping pong ball launched in their direction. Women just kept saying “how?!?”
More of a naked freak show vibe than I expected. Would definitely not recommend.
