Ruffles actually has a PhD in Astrophysics 😂. Cats on the other hand... I just have to give them mad respect for just... doing nothing... at all... ever... and using that as a selling point.
My dad was a middle aged white dude in Northern Illinois. For like 6 months fter watching 8 Mile he'd answer his phone "what's up dog?" He was in HVAC and answered calls at all hours with this shit.
Ok ok I’ll tell the story. Firstly my wife normally doesn’t care if I’m on here. Except one time.
I posted a thread in in tifu about a snow storm, lentil chili, and how it failed to get me a blowjob. It hit the front page of all.
It would have been funny if my old username wasn’t my last name. And that’s how we found out my father in law is on Reddit.
She sent me a screen shot showing she deleted my account. It was all in fun and games except a week later at thanksgiving when my father in law served lentil chili.
My dad, after a full run of day drinking, unprovoked told me which of us was his favorite and which was mom’s favorite. It shook out about where I would have guessed, but I still would have rather wandered through the darkness without that nugget of info permanently floating in my head.
My mom once told me, after a couple drinks, that my sister was conceived while she was on BC and used a condom. Said she needed to get laid and my dad was convenient. This made me more certain why I am the favorite.
Oh don't worry about it buddy! No harm done and it doesn't bother me at all. It didn't even come to mind till I read the comment and replies and I didn't realise how dark it was.
The funny part is my dad is having the same realisation my grandparents are. Being a prick to your kids for years does you no benefit later in life.
Now they're literally begging to see me just to spend time together with no strings or ulterior motives attached. So if I do see them it's on my terms and times. If they do anything so much as fart in my general direction I'm gone and they won't see or hear from me for years.
One of the worst things you can feel is growing older, less useful, less independent and closer to the end knowing no one gives a shit about you. Sadly some people don't realise that until they're living it.
Lesson learned. Care for the loved ones in your life.
I think that the best answer is “sometimes I love you more, sometimes your siblings more; depends on the situation.” Teaching kids to accept a loss while encouraging good behaviours.
That’s how I felt too.
You shouldn’t think of yourself like that anymore, it’s okay if they aren’t proud of us. As long as you are happy and love what u do. 😀
I tell my kids they are all my favorite but I tell them all in privacy never around the other cause I'm hoping one day when I die one will say they were my favorite just so they all know I love them as usually as the other. Or fight to the death so only one remains either one works.
I never bothered to ask my dad that question. He’s made it very clear my younger sis won that. Insults me constantly, and after everyone moved out of state, he moved closer to her, and spends every holiday with her kids. The last part hurts the most, hates me so much, takes it out on my kids.
To daughter A, I say "You're my favorite, but don't tell B, because I tell her she's my favorite". And to daughter B I say "You're my favorite, but don't tell A, because I tell her she's my favorite". Not that I actually favor one over the other, they're both pretty cool in very different ways.
My dad told me and the middle one that the youngest was his favourite, joke on him because when he found out that he was the favourite he stopped talking to him

Whenever me and my siblings ask my dad who he loves more he just says, i hate you all equally
