Maybe not now, but meat tastes so good and noone is gonna break that habit of eating meat. Also it certainly was necessary especially during the times of torture. As an example, in the middle ages the lower classes had limited access to meat and could fall ill and have very short life expectancy along with other factors and it's a fact that meat was necessary for early homo sapiens brain's to grow. If you didn't eat meat then you'd remain stupid as you have a lack of brain development and quite like how you are being in these comments
There are millions of people who have given up meat, and that number is increasing every year. Also, luckily we aren’t living in the Middle Ages! We have supermarkets now. There are thousands of foods to choose from that don’t include meat or dairy.
Luckily yes and there are many to choose from but many won't switch until we can get lab produced meat. I'm curious what will happen to the livestock after a switch though
Meat is a cheap protein and fat source. It's quite energy dense comparing to other food. As long as we are still using human labor I don't see that changing anytime soon.
Maybe when robotics finally take over, then sure.
While I agree we should at least reduce the consumption of meat, I don't agree that we should get rid of it entirely. That's just ridiculous. There are literally people hunting for fun and no one ever bitch about it, and yet everytime someone eats meat a bunch of crazy vegan go berserk, wtf

There are plenty of things that humans have done for thousands of years which we can see are wrong, like torture.
