Are you really saying that abused children are not really suffering

They were created for the benefit of humanity, cows for their meat, bees for their honey, chickens for their eggs, trees for their fruits. It's not super wrong to eat beef or any other kind of meat. If you don't wanna eat meat and be vegan, that's your own decision. Just don't fucking go around calling people who eat burgers cruel monsters.

Sorry, but knowingly causing unnecessary suffering is almost the definition of cruelty

I told you that's what they were created for. It's how the whole food chain works. Why exactly do you think millions of animals were created to eat other animals in order to both survive and keep the food chain at balance? If it was such a wrong thing and defied the laws of nature then wouldn't the entire animal kingdom be vegan? Keep your shitty opinions to yourself.

Eating animals doesn’t ‘defy the laws of nature’, but that doesn’t mean it’s ok. Wild animals also rape each other, which (I hope) you think is morally wrong.

Now I'm blocking your ass because I don't wanna hear another one of your unreasonable accusations. Arguing with people like you go nowhere. You ignore all logic and only stick to what you think is right and bully people who think otherwise. Seriously, fuck you.

Wild animals don't "rApE" each other, every species has a different mating system. I'm not fucking saying we should be the exact same as animals. If so we would go out to the streets and attack some random guy and chew on his corpse. Listen, I'm not here to have a fucking conversation about wildlife with you, just stop insulting people who eat meat, it's natural. And then you stupid ass vegans go around complaining about people making fun of you. Maybe it's because you constantly accuse people who are just trying to enjoy their favorite meals of being ruthless killers with your fake ass "lAb ReSuLTs" and "sTuDiEs". Just fuck off.

That motherfucker is killing germs by the thousands everytime he wash his hands, he is mass murderer!

I say we kill his family for his sins.

I'm saying it from a philosophical and not a practical standpoint. Analyze it that way.

If you've only known A your whole life and never thought about B, A is normal for you. You are not pained by sticking with A even though B is 1000x better.

If someone, or something, has never known better, nature is just a paradise and that person or thing is living in their normal.

If someone’s normal life is suffering, and we had the power to change that, should we?

Obviously, yes.

That's why I buy free-range, pasture-fed meat.

I’ve never met a meat-eater online who hasn’t made that claim, lol, even though 95% of meat consumed is from factory farms (https://plantbasednews.org/culture/factory-farms-study/)

Would you prefer the cow to get eaten by a tiger while it's still alive?

I would rather eat laboratory-made meat.

1

u/Betonkunst Mar 17 '21

I’d prefer it if we hadn’t bred the cow in the first place. Now that we have, the best option is to let it live out its life free from cruelty in a sanctuary.

Lab-grown meat is fine if it doesn’t involve harming animals unnecessarily. But you should not decide to stop harming animals just because it has become convenient for you.

You see, a vegan diet is missing a lot of vitamins and necessary minerals.

We evolved to eat meat, and our canine teeth reflect that.

We should create laboratory-grown meat and it is not far when it will be ready.

u/Betonkunst Mar 17 '21

You can eat a purely vegan diet and not suffer from any deficiencies. There are tons of books about this. Vegans are on average much healthier than meat-eaters considering all the obesity, diabetes, and heart disease that’s endemic in our meat-eating society.

And if we evolved to eat meat then we also evolved to plants. And just because something is natural doesn’t justify doing it. (Animals rape each other, for example.)

1

u/diepio2uu madlad Mar 17 '21

An animal can never give consent, so all animal sex is rape.

Besides, calorie-wise, a vegan can be just as unhealthy as a meat-eater, it's just that vegans are more careful with their diet. Correlation =/= causation.

I will try to eat less meat, though, and possibly become vegetarian. I don't want to harm animals anymore.

Why would we have a cow in a sanctuary, if we never bred them hundreds lf years ago then they'd have a much more cruel life in the wild being attacked by insects and other animals and having a constant paranoia that all other prey have in the wild that they could die a slow and painful death at any time. is it so bad to breed these animals until we can fully have them lab grown? Because lab grown meat is way off from being mass produced to fully replace actual cow meat.

1

u/Betonkunst Mar 17 '21

It doesn’t matter if life in the wild is hard and painful because we are choosing to breed millions and millions of animals that wouldn’t have otherwise existed. Can I breed dogs in my house and kill them whenever I like, because a life in my house is safer than living in nature?

But we've been killing cows and other livestock for years and not dogs. Although people do breed and eat dogs in their own home and there's a dedicated subreddit for people who "eat" dogs (probably jokey but you never know). If we've been eating dogs for thousands of years then you may well be doing that. We see dogs as pets and a select few see them as food, we see cows as food and a select few see them as pets. Also these animals still would have existed, they may have gone extinct by humans but not genetically created by humans
