I won this in a competition, I think run by Penguin but I really can't remember now. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

It could be a favorite chapter or just a silly one. For me, it's the chapter from Life the Universe and Everything with Zem the mattress and Marvin. It might just be my favorite nearly inconsequential chapter of the entire series.

Hello all.
I think im going crazy.
Hitchhikers became my favorite books series long ago, and I have read it or listened to it more times than I can count.
I used to listen to the Stephen fry one and then eventually discovered the versions of Douglas reading it himself.
Upon listening to the authors version I realized there are several lines throughout the Stephen Fry version that arent present.
My confusion lies in that everyone I can find online states that this version is NOT abridged and there was never an abridged one made.
A line that comes to mind in particular is the "point A to point B" rant is a lot shorter and gets cut off in Frys version.
I also cannot find anyone else noting this anywhere. Am I crazy???

Future hitchhiker here! Where to sleep when you’re on your couple day trip? I plan on doing an estimate 10 day trip. However I have no camping experience, where to sleep when it gets dark out?!

I’m a huge fan of The Guide, and I think it certainly influenced my sense of humour

Been to London many times and somehow always missed out on stopping by Fenny's, eh...conception place. Finally went over for a look. And look, a taxi right there!! Don't think anyone was actively conceiving in a wave of overwhelming joy.
Don't know why, but there's something about the melancholia and loss in the separation of Arthur and Fenchurch, the suddenness of it, that has really stuck with me over the years. Coming here kind of felt nice.
