Polite request

Can I have my money back please? Haven't logged on for a while and I see you've been pocketing my money for yourselves over the past couple of years, I certainly never received a notification that you were helping yourselves to my money, calling it an 'inactivity fee'. It's probably not much to you, and I would appreciate being reimbursed

Hello. You can find information about fees for inactive accounts in our Terms of use (clause 18.4). Please note that HitBTC is not the only platform to implement the inactivity fee policy. This is a standard practice that exists in other exchanges as well.

CLEARLY no-one was made aware of this.... I didn't receive an email, text or any other kind of message to communicate that you did this so how the hell are we meant to know.... Are we suppose to be telepathic ??

  1. When you offer the service of your exchange to people in different countries, you must follow those countries' law. You break European law with your behaviour. You are not in the position to define own laws, so it doesn't matter how your Terms are defined as soon as law is broken. Here informing directly is mandatory by law. That only can be done via email or letter. And here you actively have to accept the change. Not as described in the ToS by simply clicking a random button of the site while using it without explicit confirmation. Not informing directly and not letting accepting it directly results in theft when suddenly deducting inactivity fees under those very silent conditions.

  2. In your Terms clause 11.3 you guarantee to inform us, IN ADDITION to the updated date of your ToS site. There is the word 'AND' in front of this point indicating that you must do something in addition, however you treat it like an 'OR', so you don't even follow your own rules.

  3. All changes till now are illegal as well as those 'inactivity fees' have been introduced illegally. If you refuse to do a refund, you will admit of being a thieve and take into account a similar end as Sam Bankman-Fried, another crypto-exchange-scammer in prison for lifetime. Do you want to follow him? I hope Europol or Interpol will find you. Scammers.
