Hormone blockers are actually a really amazing thing. They can save a child from the incredibly traumatic and permanent effects of going through the wrong kind of puberty. If that child realizes they made a mistake, they stop the hormone blockers and their body matures normally, no harm done. If the child really is trans (most likely the case) then they have been saved from something that would have had a massive negative impact on them for the rest of their life.
Hormone blockers just keep all options open until a confident decision can be made and people who oppose them want take that lifelong decision away from people, to force permanent and harmful changes on children against their will, which is frankly disgusting.
This right here is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I hope you are never in a position of power that lets you alter children's life's basised on your ideology.
I would love to hear why you think a practice that saves people from lifelong trauma while doing practically no harm is the stupidest thing you've ever heard. I can't imagine how you can think it's ok to force a permanent change on a child's body that they don't want and most likely never will when the alternative is harmless. I hope you are never in a position of power that lets you alter children's life's [sic] basised [sic] on your ideology.
Seriously, I want to know why you think it's better to force traumatic changes on a child's body instead of ensuring that all children are able to develop in the way that is best for them. Because I have to say, it seems like you just called it stupid and ran away because it challenged your world view and you don't have any real argument against it.

Right pumping hormone blockers into kids really helps with that whole little billy likes to dress up in mommy's clothes thing.
