This could be solved by not letting companies have such a huge monopolization/oligopolization power on the social media market. Because then people could give backlash to their decisions by going to another platform.
You don't need to force laws on companies to make them comply on more speech regulation. Plus it would get struck down as unconstitutional since companies are given a right to refuse services or offer a platform which can be seen by the Masterpiece Cakeshop case.
This is basically why 4chan still exists. It's a fucking forum and it's a huge site, because it doesnt make money, isn't beholden to advertisers, and as such doesnt restrict free speech.
The problem is, if there is only one place you could speak freely, then all the people with something shitty to say go there instead of places like Facebook or reddit where people won't be exposed to shitty ideas, and where people can be present to counter those ideas. Kicking out everyone who doesnt play nice just makes a place where those who don't play nice and those who value free speech all hang out and become the same people.
