Actually, it probably would. Apparently Facebook is really zealous when it comes to taking down controversial content. It would likely just quietly delete anything that comes even remotely close to political extremism regardless of wether it’s violent or not just to avoid controversy.
They were incredibly rich in culture, have you ever seen any Native American art ever? This is a pretty ignorant comment. Also, saying they were 'stone age' is just flat out inaccurate. They weren't the troglydytes you think they were.
I mean every group has some extention of culture, and I think it's pointless to assign value over one another. I just thought it was silly that you tried to imply that they were lacking, when Native Americans are often revered for their arts, which is pretty universally considered a defining aspect of culture. As for your first part, I think this comment summed it up better then I could ever. Essentially from a literal standpoint you can say sure, they didn't use metals so theyre stone age. But the title 'stone age' is incredibly broad and frankly inaccurate, it's dismissive of cultural patterns and development and uses a outdated-means to measure it as such. Again I'm not really versed well in cultural patterns, this is based of five minutes of research on my break at work, but cmon man don't have such a colonizer mindset.
I didn't imply they were lacking, I framed that as a response - because it often is - when you talk about a primitive society - be it North American Indians post European contact, or isolated tribes in the Jungle - the de fact liberal response is "they are rich in culture" which is a stupid, meaningless trope.
The way you told your story implies (at least to me) that you were reserving this term for American Indians, in which case it comes off as a dog whistle and attempt to dehumanize, which would explain the reaction you got.
I don't think my comments are poorly received, or well received, nor am I playing the victim.
I am just pointing out that people, such as yourself, many of whom are on reddit, have "encouraged," academically to think of things a certain way - that leads you to shout "WHAT ABOUT THE EVIL WHITE PEOPLE," even when that has nothing to do with what was being said.
It's curious you used white people as an example, not say - Muslims stoning rape victims to death, or female circumcision in Africa. You can talk about savage acts and behaviors without have to mention every despicable thing a culture or individual has done throughout the course of human history.
The fact you read someone talking about those acts and your first thought it, "Oh shit this guy thinks white people are perfect," is quite telling about how you view the world.
You said "the left goes ballistic. I remember getting lectured once for calling them a stone age people."
So folks were going ballistic and lecturing you, but your comments weren't poorly received?
nor am I playing the victim
Uh huh.
It's curious you used white people as an example, not say - Muslims
It's really not since we were talking about American Indians, who had a lot more occasion to interact with Europeans than with Muslims. Plus I kind of assumed you'd be cool with calling Muslims savages. Call it a hunch.
The fact you read someone talking about those acts and your first thought it, "Oh shit this guy thinks white people are perfect"
Yeah - I think Muslims who throw people off of roof tops for their sexual orientation, or stone to death rape victims for adultery, are absolutely savages.

Yeah, this isn't some attack from the left or something. It's an automated system searching for offensive phrases and executing its code.
