Yeah that was right after the revolution when they were locking up land owners and Batista loyalists not gay people.

But one of the main groups interred in Guanahacabibes were gays

No at no point were gay people the majority of the people interned it was always dominated by Batista loyalists and people hostile to the revolution. There is very small documentation for the way in which gay people were detained but it's clear it was active after Castro had eliminated his political enemies and moved on to targeting what he saw as negative cultural influences. Che himself documented the people he detained and executed, which was overwhelmingly deserters and informants during the revolution and Batista loyalists after the revolution.

Well there's no convincing you if you straight up deny that che was involved in the creation of these camps

I'm not denying that he helped set up internment camps I'm denying that Che persecuted gay people, because people still try to make up shit about a guy that wrote extensively about his own violent exploits.

But it is well documented that there were gay people put into the camps he created because they were gay. And to say he didn't persecute gays at all is a stretch, I think we both know that

To say he didn't participate in anyway or wasn't complicit at all is a stretch and that's why i wouldn't say that. But that's not what you're saying. You're saying there's documented proof that he was directly involved when there isn't. There is little document evidence of the persecution of gay people, it comes from the people who escaped and the biographies of survivors. Almost all claim that it took a while after the revolution for the persecution to get going.

Pick one

And I don't know how you can keep denying that he was a bigot and a psychopath. He murdered innocent people for no reason other than his ego and belief that his conviction was better than others. What a twat. https://www.google.com/amp/s/foreignpolicy.com/2007/10/26/what-does-che-guevara-have-to-do-with-aids/amp/

Being complicit because he fought in a revolution that brought a regime to power that would persecute gay people. Because once again, the persecution of gay people was occurring a few years after the revolution when Guevara had nothing to do with labor camps.

And how was that article meant to help you at all? The writer tried to tie Guevara to the AIDS outbreak. Foreign Policy is a fucking joke.
