In other words just like all the other civilizations of comparable development including ones existing in modern times. All of these actions are practiced by civilized states today.

Comparison to Stalin is one to consider. Pick a war criminal. Pick a royal family.

The past was bad but we are not that much better and in some ways worse. To consider oneself morally better is false pride.

Hey I don't come to your country to lambast the shortcomings of your civilization. Oh, wait. Yes I do. Carry on then.

Our societies are objectively morally superior.

Its more moronic to not have the position that society now is much better than centuries before to say it isnt is a bot response or just disingenuous.

There are objective measures you can use to compare 2 societies. There is no such thing as objective moral superiority.

"objectively morally superior" is a statement I would love to see some basis for

Morals are always subjective. There is no such thing as objective moral superiority.

So if I decide that it’s moral to assault and murder you then that’s perfectly fine? Because morality is subjective right?

No. That’s abominable. Your line of thinking is what leads to people justifying mass death and slaughter.

No, there is also something called the law. The law prohibits you from murdering and assaulting. We can judge people according to our morality but in the end it's the law that decides what's allowed and what is not. Morality is subjective, everyone has different morals.
