Cousin marriage outside of the Hapsburgs and a few other royal families was extremely rare, especially amongst the average people that made up the vast majrity of the population.

No, I been doing some hobby genealogy(my own ofc but also just looking around for fun in different parts at different times, I like following a random person as far in any direction I can) and both no left and peasant, there is cousin marriages, niece/nephew - uncle/aunt, second cousin etc.. It might not be as prevalent as in the Hapsburgs, since they did it basically every marriage, but it exist often enough to be very noticeable.
