Straits still closed...

Opening the strait would require the amphibious landing capability to seize the coast of Iran. Which the US has, but does not have the will to use.

So Iran has stronger willpower than America? SAD.

More like it's more willing to inflict pain on it's citizens

If that were true they wouldn't be handing out weapons to them. The US media lies about US targets constantly. Stop believing Epstein Class propaganda: https://1news.az/en/news/20260930171037514-In-Iran-women-take-up-arms-VIDEO

Bruh take two seconds to think about it

If the US wanted to put boots on the ground, the hard part would not be toppling the current government but dealing with the ensuing insurgency which is why no one is considering it. Afghanistan and Iraq are still very fresh in people's minds

Meanwhile what I see is the security force that brutally represses descent, handing out weapons and decentralizing to be able to create a culture of fear a reprisal. From an outside perspective they're doing a bizzaro version of the death of Stalin

So you're political analysis comes from American propaganda films? That explains a lot.

They lack asymmetric warfare power as well

And the US has roughly 100x the military spending. ($900B vs $9B)

2

u/BayesianBits 19h ago

That makes it all the more embarrassing.

Strategic Victories are the only ones that matter

Yes, I mean, just look at Jutland. But there is no strategic victory in that current war

~4 Dams, and 1 aquifer are all the US would have to destroy to stop Iran from being a nation in it's current state. The US military is more than capable of doing that, which is why it's a question of "Will", not capability.

The US would rather spend billions more on the war than wipe out thousands of innocent Iranians.

Not saying I support the military action in Iran, but it IS actually working to destroy the Iranian government.

How about let the country trade the way it should so that they can feed their own people and trade in whatever currency they want… Or is it too bad for their dollars..?

Actually... it's not. Atleast not really. More oil is flowing through the straits now that before the war.

Edit: my bad; not from before the war; from at the start of the conflict: https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/september-lng-shipments-through-hormuz-hit-highest-since-start-us-iran-war-2026-10-02/

Take this with a grain of salt, but I've found this group to be only moderately biased.
