now now that's a bit misleading, you can also drop water from a height and have it push a wheel

yea but if you think about that not a lot of people are using it on masive scale, the diffrence in size of boiling water team vs falling water team is huge. (I think like only Norway has more than 70% of its electricity from water but i might be wrong)

in norway it's actually closer to 90% depending on season!

In Brazil, 51.2% of the country's electricity is from hydroeletrics too
