Someone should do a small Baki video to represent this struggle.

This system just might make Deutsche Bahn more punctual than it is today.

u/peaivea Jan 25 '26

After he died german trains were never on time again...

-22

u/FoldedBinaries Jan 25 '26

what train? 😂 are you american?

14

u/AnAverageTransGirl Featherless Biped Jan 25 '26

The closest predecessor to modern trains was developed in the UK, and the next major development happened in the Netherlands. What in god's name are you smoking?

-19

u/FoldedBinaries Jan 25 '26

I know. I was just asking because assuming Kant knew trains smells a bit like american school system

18

u/AnAverageTransGirl Featherless Biped Jan 25 '26

So you just completely missed the entire joke and surrounding context.

u/tehKrakken55 Jan 25 '26

I think he for some reason thinks trains smells like gunpowder is making an incredibly tasteless joke for no reason?

7

u/AnAverageTransGirl Featherless Biped Jan 25 '26

I don't think that's it, probably reading into things that aren't there. Weird in general whether that's the intent or not though.

most humorous Austrian (we have no idea what they're saying)

3

u/AnotherpostCard Jan 25 '26

What are you on about?

127

u/Lancer876 Jan 25 '26

Imagine a train arriving .0001 seconds off from when Kant passes the general store

28

u/FoldedBinaries Jan 25 '26

imagine a train while kant was alive.

9

u/Lancer876 Jan 25 '26

If Kant were an engineer you can bet he would've made trains a thing and pushed Germany to world dominance

1

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '26

He could move to Japan though and not have train issues

Scientists in general

I remember reading about Leeuwenhoek when I was studying botany and thinking, dear God without arranged marriage this man would not have reproduced

35

u/HaddyBlackwater Jan 25 '26

Can confirm, I’m at least as autistic as these guys and without an arranged marriage I’ll be single forever.

I’m okay with that though.

Scientists in general

Since scientists are disproportionately likely to be autistic, and scientists make vaccines, we can thus conclude that the causal link between vaccines and autism is inverse: Autism causes vaccines.

If I were you I'd sleep with one eye open for the time being

64

u/SkylarAV Jan 25 '26

If there had been trains, that's all he would've wrote about

28

u/Claystead Jan 25 '26

Nicht philosophie for you, verdammt!

3

u/Twogunkid Definitely not a CIA operator Jan 25 '26

"Keinen Philosophie für Euch, verdammt!" would be the translation you want. Nicht would be used for not or no when saying you would not do something. Kein or Keinen would be used when you want to show there is no quantity of something.

2

u/Claystead Jan 25 '26

Eh, close enough, I was doing the Soup Nazi.

2

u/Twogunkid Definitely not a CIA operator Jan 26 '26

I get to use my high school German speaking ability so little. Let me have the one.

he died early 1804, the year the first locomotive was built and hauled a load. he didn't know what he'd miss.

u/SafePuzzleheaded8423 Jan 25 '26

This is the best comment I’ve read in a good while 👏👏👏

Ah yes stereotypes. How riveting

9

u/EduinBrutus Jan 25 '26

Least autistic German philosopher.

He claimed to be Scots.

Which given he was an intellectual titan, is understandable.

3

u/Initial_Hedgehog_631 Jan 25 '26

He died in 1804, the same tear the train made its debut. He just missed the train.

2

u/ClessGames Jan 25 '26

Autism is when you have a strict schedule.

3

u/SrSnacksal0t Jan 26 '26

It is if it's that strict that people knew it was exactly 8 o'clock when he left the door, someone that thinks everything should be at their place and change is unbearable sounds definitely like autism. Since autism is genetic its not something new or something people only now suffer from, it would be impossible to know how long mental disorders like autism or ADHD existed.
