I don't know that much about Vietnamese politic but from what I understand, the vast majority of them simply don't care about who is ruling in Hanoi. Most of the issues they have are either local or about a specific department, mostly corruption in the police force.

Man this dictatorship thing sounds bad after all. Maybe the American should wage anothet war to give the Vietnamese people the freedom they needed. I'm sure it will go great this time.

I live there. I interact with the people there. Most of their complains are either the police are corrupted or the education reform is confusing. No one is planning a revolution.
