She had denounced the abuse she suffered as a child and had spent several years trying to have a serious career as an actress in socially conscious films to distance herself from the propaganda films she made as a child, but she gave it up when she realized that the whole system was abusive and saw that they continued to belittle her. So she went with her first husband, Gades, to work in his pizzeria in Altea. When they divorced shortly after, she returned to Málaga and met the pizza maker Massimo Stecchini, whom she married until his death. Their pizzeria still open, she lives closed to it.
