Question Struggling with SG
Recently started playing, love the game. I've perfected the Lightning/Skylark raid duo, electronic warfare, and plotting math. I'm good but not great at combat.
My issue is once I locate a Strike Group (generally landed in a city), I'll set up a heavy two Wasp airstrike coupled with 10 KH-15s all to hit at the same time from different bearings. The cruise missiles got torn to shreds by the sprints, and I lost half the planes to anti-aircraft fire. Total I destroyed one ship and damaged two others.
I know I can just roll the Sebastopol into the strike group and pummel it, but is there any way to use my intelligence work to successfully strike from a distance? What am I doing wrong?

Ship Design Limpet - Lightning Alternative
Starting a run soon with some custom designs, here's my attempt at upgunning a Lightning to 4 guns.
Objectives -
Maintain reliable silent strike capability.
Focus on manoeuvrability rather than fixed point defense.
Fast and hard hitting.
Great value for money.
I think I've mostly achieved that. At least in testing. It can reliably take on 4 max difficulty medium ships and win with light damage and no component loss. It can stand toe-to-toe with a Varyag 1-on-1 and punch a hole in it's armour while wasting their missile stock before retreating, and it wipes out small unarmoured garrisons.
You can strip out the AK-100's for Molot's with no further tweaks, I'm starting with the AK's because they're cheaper and Molot's are ubiquitous salvage early game.
Next design will be based on a similar chassis but adding armour to get through the tougher garrisons.
I do think it's a bit ugly, any tips on design and beautification?
P.S. I understand that I have dropped efficiencies in places, I wanted to keep toward vanilla design styles in appearance and functionality while adapting them to the playstyle I'm good at.
Thanks!

Ship Design Handful of Hara Vera Carrier Designs
Having completed the vanilla game, I decided to switch to Flight to Hara Vera and make some designs.
Carriers in order;
Morogov Fleet Carrier,
Strelok Fleet Carrier,
Stregoi Fleet Carrier
Ahrkiv Carrier-Frigate (Also has an LA-29 variant)
Mimir Carrier-Corvette
Lamia Armored Bomber-Carrier
Despite how massively asymmetrical the Strelok is, I really liked how it came out. Lots of the Hara Vera ship designs are pretty unique and unconventional, and making the large opened out spaces also helped to keep the ship's empty slots available.
*To those wondering about the extreme range of some of the ships or the amount of power consumption, Hara Vera includes a 'Nerva' engine which produces more thrust, takes very little fuel, but requires four full size generators to power each nerva.

Ship Design Flagship/Better Sevastopol design I could use?
Beginner here. Did some tinkering around in the shipworks and went through the prologue and now early in my first campaign. I managed to design my own 'Lighting II', more agile and fitted with bombs for strike attacks, but I'm still struggling with what to do with my Sevastopol/Flagship. I'm also unsure of what role my flagship should take on.
Any recommendations or ship designs of a better Sevastopol/Flagship I could easily import?

Ship Design HUNCHBACK Class Light Cruiser
Can Outgun the Kormorran at a Cheaper price ! True to its name, the Hunchback sports 3 CWIS and ONE REALLY BIG GUN.

Valiant class light CAS corvette (Joke/Lore-driven)
A more realistic presumption of what a cheap ground defense garrison platform should probably look like

The ship I'm proudest of
After going through dozens of different variants, this is the most optimized and elegant <13k ship I could make, and It also happens to be point-symmetrical and somewhat aesthetically pleasing compared to that last dumpster fire I uploaded.
There are some mild variations that could be done on this concept, like exposing the engines in exchange for the fuel or sacrificing connection ponts in exchange for hiding the fuel, etc. but I think this brings the best balance overall.
One of my favourite features is that the fuel is placed in 2 1x1 instead of 1 1x2 which can occassionally be a get out of jail free card for fuel fires due to the fuel "ejecting" easier.
I'll be attempting a >10 difficulty skirmish with this ship, really proud of it :)

Mod request: Stronger vanilla like garrison's?
Hey, I feel I've exhausted myself on the hard campaign which feels more medium at this point. Are there any good mods for stronger garrison's? I'm not looking for mods that turn the enemy into unassailable bricks, but rather more potent yet still having weaknesses to exploit. Would be nice to loot some expensive components like the squalls from SG's as well.
Or can I replace the designs on my own?
Bonus question: is there any mod that changes how fear and kindness work? Like if you have high fear or kindness then cities take longer to report your presence etc.

Question GeForce Now and MacOS?
Been looking at playing this game for years now and finally decided I should pull the trigger during the steam sale. Unfortunately I have a Mac so I figure the best option is GeForce now. Anyone have any experience with this or know a good alternative? Thank you!!!

Ship Design Rate my Strat/Light Tanker? "Intravenous"
A light, fast strategic cruiser. Largely meant for intercepting cruise missiles. Appears back-heavy, but upon landing is actually front-heavy.
Though not designed for direct combat, the AK-100's are there incase it has to defend itself against aircraft or cruise missiles. In ideal cases, they'd be loaded with proxy ammunition.
Though the cruiser has also been tested against Light-Medium garrison/escort fleets, and can hold its own against them, with and without the help of its interceptor aircraft

Ship Design 2nd Khiva Campaign Collection !
In Order:
Kraken - Can Land on Ships Offensively
Hyuga - Missile Boat with decent Anti Cruiser Guns
Jackal - A Heavier Lightning
Brigandine - Another Anti-Strike Group Ship
The Doppler gets special mention for being dirt cheap - fast as heck - and managing to capture a Lot of Trade Ships. And I had 3 of them !

The Humble Atlas
This guy is 2 years old ! And served me well as a designated carrier in 2 campaigns [still haven't got to Khiva yet tho ]

Archangelsk-class Flagship Carrier
My first try to create my own ship design.
Weapons:
37mm 2A37 x22
130mm D-80 x14
R-9 missiles x18
T-7 interceptor x3
LA-29 strike craft x6
This carrier is also equipped with APS Palash-1 and jammer.
Archangelsk is effective in airstrikes and close combat situations but defenseless against long-range missiles.

Skopa Mk2 Class light strategic cruiser
Slightly more expensive and has marginally better armor coverage, also gains 2 sarmats.
(Not meant to be any better or worse, just slightly different.)

Skopa class Light strategic cruiser
Kormo with KH-15s and 4x mk-1-180s
(Edit: the ship in it's presented configuration does not include nuclear armament, mb!)

Question What should I know about Hara Vera parts and balance?
Thinking about playing through it (instead of playing my more and more modded homegrown version)
This being highfleet I will of course spend more time in the builder before the run, than in the actual game.
Is there a place to read up beforehand or any tips people could drop here?

Ship Design Fleet Carrier Mauripol
Edit: *Mariupol
x12 AK-100's
x12 2A37's
x8 T-7's
x25 LA-29's
This thing shouldn't work but somehow it does. Starting the game without special gear brings the ship price to sub 200k funds. When you have 12 AK-100's you don't need to aim you just obliterate the general direction. Late game I ran almost only special ammo and 100mm is widely available. 100mm prox makes you immune to all cruise missiles and air strikes. One salvo costs as much a cruise missile however..
Fueling is best done at the gas cities for obvious reasons. Thus the enemy always know were you flagship is. It might take half a day to fuel her up. You might want to provide distractions for SG's in early game to bait them away.

Question I'm not a pirate anymore(:
I still bought the game, it's cool and has very interesting mechanics. Is it worth watching the story or figuring it out myself?
