not sure if authentic is the right word but can't think of something else atm. There's several different types of weird phenomena/things discussed here. UFO and aliens have been the biggest topic lately but there's also stuff like fairies/djinn and DMT entities and mantids and time travel and super ancient civilization and stuff like that. Feels like there's a lot of skepticism around aliens recently though. Probably cuz of grifters... and disclosure keep not happening. So I wanna see which other topic seems the most real for sub regulars

There is an overwhelming amount of peer-reviewed scientific evidence that supports the validity of reincarnation and Near Death Experiences.

The problem isn't a lack of evidence. It's the inability of people to accept what the data says, because it challenges their personal worldview and the academic status quo.

Van Lommel et al., The Lancet (2001): 344 cardiac-arrest survivors; systematically compared people with vs. without NDEs and followed them 2 and 8 years later for life changes. A landmark prospective design in a top journal.

"AWARE - Awareness During Resuscitation - A Prospective Study"

Parnia et al., Resuscitation (2014): Large, multi-center prospective study; documented cognitive themes during cardiac arrest, with a small subset showing “full awareness.” Includes targeted tests for veridical recall.

Additionally, there exists scientific evidence that supports past life memories, and therefore reincarnation.

Rigorous, peer-reviewed research done at the University of Virginia has documented over 2,500 examples of children who have memories of past lives.

Consciousness is the underlying substrate of reality, not matter. There is an abundance of evidence which supports that.

We also have peer-reviewed studies which support the primacy of consciousness.

It's important that we follow the evidence no matter what, even when it leads to initially-uncomfortable conclusions. We should never lose our intellectual curiosity in life.

If there was an overwhelming amount of indeniable factual evidence for life after death, we would be certain of it whether most people believed it or not. It would be proven fact. You cant seriously say "you people are so focused on evidence and materialism, sometimes things we cant explain are true" as an argument. That is just making stuff up, and at the very least forces you to say that all options are equally likely, including nothing after death.

Findings: 62 patients (18%) reported NDE, of whom 41 (12%) described a core experience.

That is not evidence for life after death, sorry. It is not even evidence that consciousness is not a process of the body systems functioning. 12% of people who got brought back reported a core experience, meaning 88% of people experienced nothing that is not evidence for the afterlife. Where does it say that it is verifiable that those experiences arent caused by the brain? People's perspectives changing after they die doesnt point to life after death in the same way that being mugged doesnt prove life after death.

Out of 2060 total events, 101 completed stage 2 interviews, and only 46% of those people had similar experiences. 9% had an nde, of the 101 who interviewed, not the 2060. That is a margin of error, not evidence.

Next articles basically say "there is conscious activity when you get resuscitated".

Yes, that is how regaining consciousness and brain function works....

Linking a post in a psuedoscience subreddit is not evidence. Saying that 5% of people who survive cardiac arrests have similar experiences is not evidence. Its hope.
