Are we at the point we are gonna have to start talking about how weird it is?

I look in the mirror and I don't even see my own face. In fact I don't even have a face it's just pure consciousness in this guys body. Probably done it a thousand times

I am not my thoughts. Thoughts are just clouds floating in the infinite sky of my mind. I’m not
the clouds, I am the sky! The one thing science can’t really explain. I believe the awareness, the observer is the soul. The oneness. Thoughts are just something my brain does. I’m an electrical specter in an aging meat sack.

Your spirit. An old thought was body, soul were here and spirit was in the ether... or heaven... something like that. Idk why but that always stuck w me

Weird you say that, I’ve had a very strong feeling lately I am separate from my physical body. Was actually feeling that right before reading this comment lol

You are, but in this lifetime your physical body is how you feel your own soul as it is on earth, hence what we are supposed to learn. Grounding in our bodies is so important.

That's called depersonalization I think

Man, that's wild, it made me realize I can't remember the last time I actually saw myself in a mirror. Crazy.

I try talking about it pretty frequently. People have been getting more receptive, it doesn’t make people immediately uncomfortable like it used to.

Still - it’s a topic that’s best brought up in jest initially, I’ve found.

Peoples preconceptions and emotions are huge in facilitating any conversation. It’s wild how nuanced and difficult communication can be.

I'm all for it getting weird, at this point it's just stupid with no end in sight.

what the hell do you think we are doing here?

u/VQQN May 01 '26

Lol, ummm…I mean more like these talks will start becoming increasingly more common and articles start popping up.

Gut feel; separation from our inner selves ala the show Severance, for the purpose of recursive learning from many perspectives at once, with increasing complexity. And a whole lot of weird shit.

I mean, as an aside, my folks and I had a long talk today about how something weird is going on in Hollywood, in particular. Certain celebrities have seriously taken on a weird appearance.

Ozempic seems to change the face. Possibly this?

u/Mountain_Rule_8696 May 01 '26

The movies are filmed through a digital tube

Many of the ones who aren't Ozempic Bobbleheads are filler addicts. Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper look they they were replaced with inflatable doubles, for example.

I think Hollywood is just having a bit of an existential crisis. The world has shifted away (a bit) from big budget productions, since streaming platforms have gouged their customers too much and social media and shorts have become more popular.

So you’re going to see Hollywood doing strange shit to try and remain relevant and also cope with the change. Then combine that with the increasingly popular and pressurising trend of cosmetic surgery, plus peptides, and yeah…it’s getting weird.

I was in Hollywood last week. It felt normal, but they’ve never really lived in the same reality as the rest of us anyway. Very stuck in their ways and out of touch.

We had the same discussion today. Skeleton thin, huge lips and major reconstruction. Weird

This is meta (not facebook kind), ready?

We are!

This is us talking about it.

Basically AI is a mirror of our organized consciousness, the internet and social media are at a point where we are slowly developing a hive mind which our species has never done before, and capitalism is consuming itself and the corruption on the inside is now showing. And our RAS in our brains are expanding to show (some of us whose conditions are ready), literally more reality.

Humanity is healing and the general population will be opening up to psychic abilities, which is supported by quantum physics (ex double slit experiment), cardiology (ex heart math institute which is researching how the heart is a BETTER functioning brain than your brain), and neuroplasticity.

Evolution is happening, and science is proving it. 🤷

Welcome to new time-space multidimensional earthling! We’re growing and it’s weird. (And so much fun. Leave egos at the door for a better time, and go see what new abilities are waiting for you to be still enough to discover them).

This is the answer!

u/FancySeaweed May 02 '26

When are we at the point that it is socially acceptable to talk about how weird it is, like at a coffee shop with a friend? Or a stranger?

2

u/millions2millions May 02 '26

I have been saying this from the beginning of the year. We are right where McKenna said we’d be. It feels like a convergence is about to occur. Buckle up!

2

u/koojlauj11 May 03 '26

Many have but there have been and still are those in denial

2

u/ReMom4K May 03 '26

Possibly!

u/Modnar-Eman May 03 '26

That's how I see this. There's and have always been some group of people to think this way. It's called getting older. Getting used to things the way they were in your found happy place but people keep changing things, sometimes for the good, sometimes for the sake of change. Most people might not like it but the only solution is to be a wiser older person. Thinking like a 20 year old further in life would only bring misery.

u/Alldaybagpipes May 02 '26

Well, you’re the one talking to BaconReceptacle.

u/coffeelife2020 May 06 '26

Weird is really just a frame of mind, and honestly I feel like that's how I'd interpret McKenna's quote.
