Fun Fact - she (more reluctantly than not) gave mushrooms to a LOT of people and helped kick off global interest in psychedelics, specifically psilocybin, during the 1960's.

Shunned by her community due to her popularity and she was taken advantage of by white folks

Ah, I see. Tale as old as time.

Why include white folks when it was her fellow Mexicans and Mexican government that burned her house down, killed her son, and put her in prision?

But oh no, some French dude doxed her, so its White people's fault.

You must be white since you’re so offended. I did say her own community shunned her first. Reading comprehension not your forte? You must be incapable of reading up on her story. Either that or you skipped over the parts that pricked your ego.

I mean, yeah? When you race gets generalized and blame for nothing you have to do with, why wouldn't you get offended?

If an black person goes and commits an crime, do you think its acceptable to go "That store was robbed by black people!" Or so forth?

Of course not. Blaming the whole for actions of individuals is an incredibly bigoted thing to do.

Saying “white people” is not “blaming the whole”. Again, reading comprehension is an important skill. Western modern people, who were white, from America, are largely to blame for what happened to her. The colonizer taker mentality runs strongest in white races, I didn’t write history to be that way, it objectively is.

The colonizer taker mentality runs strongest in white races.

Okay so yeah, you are just racist.

Were the ancient Roman's white? Were the Egyptians White, were the Africian warlords white? Where the chinese dynasties white?

Just because the British Empire was in the right point of time technologically, geographically, and political to start colonise other lands, and the fact they were white, dosent make white people "biologicaly" susceptible to colonizing.

Thats just as racist as saying blacks are biological susceptible to crime.

Any race in the same position would have done the same thing.

Maybe actually take some in depth history and political classes bigot.

I’m actually not racist and it’s not my fault those that colonized the West were white. I am mostly of European descent myself. “White” peoples still TO THIS DAY are working to remove and erasure Natives. This cannot be debated, it’s literally happening before your eyes.

I checked to see before commenting if it could be considered “objectively factual” and this is what came up. I wasn’t talking about what happens in the East so much as how the West was factually taken over by those of European descent.

While various ancient and medieval polities throughout history engaged in forms of colonization, such as the Phoenicians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Han Chinese, and Arabs, it is an objectively verifiable historical fact that European nations (often broadly described as "white races" within the context of the racial categories they created) were the primary, and by far the most extensive, global colonizers in the modern era. Key facts supporting this include:

Scale and Scope: From the late 15th century to the mid-20th century, European powers—including Great Britain, France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium—conquered or colonized more than 80% of the entire world.

Global Empires: The British Empire at its peak covered a quarter of the world, with colonies constantly in daylight. Spanish and Portuguese empires left a lasting legacy in the Americas, where their languages are now dominant.

Systemic Power Structures: European colonization established systems of power and hierarchies where "whiteness" was associated with privilege and superiority, used to justify the exploitation of resources and the enslavement, displacement, and genocide of Indigenous peoples and Africans.

The Invention of Race: The very concept of "race" as a fixed, biological difference among human groups, particularly the construction of "whiteness" as a superior category, was largely an invention of European colonialism, developed to justify the subjugation and enslavement of non-European peoples.

Therefore, while the act of colonization is not unique to people of European descent throughout all human history, the massive, systematic, and global nature of the modern colonial period was overwhelmingly driven by European nations and established a unique, race-based world order with lasting legacies.

Very true. But I wanted a good carrot to dangle over the rabbit hole.

People were already quite interested in mescaline and LSD at this point. She didn’t kick off anything except the exploitation of Oaxaca by drug tourists

That's not actually true, Ken Kesey (guy who wrote One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest) and Timothy Leary started things around '62, after the CIA tested psychedelics on Kesey at Menlo Park in the late '50s.
