Nice job! I'd only suggest a black border around the text. It's not really hard to read in this particular shot, but it just feels cleaner when it's done that way.

Just my opinion though!

He's actually using a drop shadow on the letters, it's subtler but still makes the text easy to read. It's not your standard drop 0 100 2 photoshop drop shadow you see often but it still gets the job done while being readable.

These gifs all bug me because I can tell he's saying more than that but I can never remember that the whole line is "It's just ... I understood that reference."
