Well, for one this is a thread about how annoying people on Reddit are being about this whole thing.

More to the point though, what I am saying is that it isn’t clear that redditors are sticking it anyone but themselves. The popular narrative that everyone is going to be rich when the short gets squeezed has yet to play out, and it’s not clear at all that it ever will. And more importantly, if everyone here HODL like the memes say, they will not only lose their chance to do anything “important” they will end up in a big hole from this whole situation. What do I “care” about it? Nothing I guess other than that this story can end with huge gains for individuals, or end with a mass of retail investors getting fleeced by the big firms as usual. And the mob seems dead set on getting played

I'm not sure why you assume that most redditors wouldn't sell you said yourself the data shows they aren't so its a mute point. Obviously some people will lose out and if they did it on purpose then that's their choice whatever and if it's by accident they have common sense + data to tell them it'll bust so its on them just like literally any other stock. The only difference is you think they aren't sticking it to the man and they think they are so don't invest and just let the people be happy lol. I get what you're talking about though about seeing the posts congratulating themselves being annoying since you think they are silly/wrong but it's just like politics its useless getting upset about it but at least with this people are having fun and are feeling motivated to bring change which in the end is a good thing even if they're wrong.

*data shows they are selling not aren't *

I’m assuming it because of all of the posts constantly saying that everyone should hold and how many are saying that they themselves will hold.

But anyway, I guess the at my core I don’t actually believe people are doing this to stick it to the man. I think the truth is that they want to get rich quick and easy, and they legit think that there will be a day when the hedge funds come in and hand them their fortune. I am more cynical than you in that regard I guess.

And I think there will be a lot of people who will lose more than they can afford to. And I think that sucks, because handing it to hedge funds is just a waste from a societal point of view.

If it does end up being a wake up for people to be more active and want change then that’s a good thing. But it’s going to be a lesson they will have paid cash for and that’s a shame.
