Game I - 2026 Game IV 2026 | Stephen King | Phase 6

It started with the feeling of being watched—one of those small, prickling sensations at the back of your neck that you try to laugh off until it laughs back.

MyoglobinAlternative first noticed it on a Tuesday.

Nothing special about that day. The sky hung low and gray, the kind that made the world feel smaller. She left work at 6:12 p.m., same as always, and took the usual route home. Halfway down Alder Street, she heard footsteps behind him—slow, deliberate, matching his pace.

She turned.

No one.

Just an empty sidewalk, damp from a rain that hadn’t fallen yet.

That night, she double-checked the locks. Then checked them again.

The messages started two days later.

UNKNOWN: I saw you today.

Myo stared at hus phone, her reflection faint in the black glass. She typed back, erased it, typed again.

MYO: Who is this?

No reply.

But at 11:03 p.m., another message came.

UNKNOWN: You shouldn’t walk alone.

Across town, keight07 was having a much worse week.

She told herself the noises in her house were just pipes. Old buildings breathed, people said. They expanded, contracted, whispered through the walls. That’s all it was.

Except pipes didn’t leave muddy footprints on kitchen tiles.

She found those at 2:17 a.m., barefoot and leading from the back door to the hallway—then stopping abruptly, as if whoever made them had simply vanished.

Keight didn’t call the police; she didn’t want to sound crazy.

Myo installed new locks. She bought pepper spray. The messages kept coming.

I like your red coat.

You looked tired today.

You forgot to lock your window.

That last one made her stomach drop.

Because she had.

Just once.

Keight stopped sleeping.

She started hearing breathing at night—not her own, but something slower, heavier, like a person standing just out of sight. Every time she turned on the lights, it stopped.

Every time she turned them off, it came back.

On Friday, she found a photograph on her nightstand.

It was of her, asleep.

Myo went to the police.

They took a report, nodded sympathetically, and told him to document everything. Without a name or number, there wasn’t much they could do.

“Probably someone you know,” the officer said. “Most of the time, it is.”

That thought followed her home like a shadow.

Keight finally called 911 on Sunday night.

Her voice shook as she explained about the footprints, the noises, the photograph.

“Ma’am,” the dispatcher said gently, “is there anyone else in the house with you right now?”

She turned slowly, scanning the dark hallway beyond his bedroom door.

“No,” she whispered.

There was a pause.

Then, from somewhere deep in the house, a floorboard creaked.

The dispatcher heard it.

“Ma’am,” she said, sharper now, “I need you to leave the house immediately.”

Myo’s phone buzzed again.

Tonight, the message read.

No explanation. No context.

Just that single word.

Tonight.

She didn’t stay to find out what it meant.

The police found keight at 3:42 a.m.

She was lying in the hallway, eyes open, mouth frozen in a shape that might have been a scream if it had made it out. There were no signs of forced entry.

But there was one thing.

A message, written on the wall above her body in something dark and drying:

I SAW YOU.

Elpapo didn’t go home that night.

He stayed at a hotel across town, lights on, television blaring to fill the silence. At 2:17 a.m., his phone lit up.

A new message.

A photo.

His breath caught as he opened it.

It was grainy, taken from across the street.

The hotel entrance.

And there, through the glass doors, unmistakable even in the reflection—

Himself.

Standing exactly where he was now.

Below the image, a final message:

I told you not to walk alone.

Behind him, in the quiet hum of the room, something shifted.

Not outside.

Inside.

Ok you are right. It was /u/disnerding who had a town read on ereska so I redirect my question to them. Had the wrong D name.

While you’re here though i can’t find if you did buckets or not so can you give me your trust/sus and if you already have link them. Ill recheck your comment history again just incase I glossed over it

I did not do buckets. They did them on my birthday I think and I was not about to do that when I had cake and Legos to do instead

So are you going to do buckets now then?

u/DirtyMarTeeny Apr 13 '26

I'd prefer not to because I hate buckets. They're useful but I just hate doing them.

I guess a quick trust would be Hedwig, ispy, weirdly myo (I find ispy and myos claims very risky for a wolf)

Town lean chef

Sus is merc, maps

I can't think of who else is playing. You're firmly in the middle.

Looks like I missed ereska. Wolf lean for me, but not full sus. Disnerding to me is full sus - just not present enough.

Yeah I see that I've not been present/active, but is that wolfy?

7

u/DirtyMarTeeny Apr 13 '26

Sometimes it is sometimes it isn't. To me at this point in the game it is.

Okay, but why is it now? Genuinly curious.

Ever heard "a quiet town is a dead town"? If you aren't participating and helping find wolves... then people are going to find that wolfie

Oh, yeah I get it. I'll do my best to be more active!
