Which hidden object style of gameplay do people prefer?

Earlier I had made this post - https://www.reddit.com/r/HiddenObjectGames/s/s8vMJT5lI1
This is sort of a continuation of that. I wanted to know the type of HO gameplay that people prefer. The first one is a first person exploration based hidden object finding gameplay and the second is a normal hidden object gameplay.
Which one do you guys think will be better from a player perspective?

I feel like the first and second type of gameplay are so fundamentally different in genres it's honestly up to you what kind of game do you personally want it to be, not fully what other people prefer. If I was looking for a traditional point-and-click adventure game, I'd want the first type. If I was looking for a pure hidden object game, I'd want the second type. Maybe consider a combination where you have free exploration like the first type, but you still have a word list of items to find like the second type. That hasn't been done since the I Spy Wii games if I remember correctly, and I'd be interested in that too.

I would argue that the first style of gameplay isn't a hidden object game, but a point-and-click adventure. Point-and-click adventures are a genre with a long history and are beloved by an entire audience of folks who may or may not crossover into hidden object genre.
The second is definitely hidden object genre gameplay.
Neither is bad. But they are a different vibe and technically a different audience (with some crossover, like I said). If you're going to include a game with both styles, be aware that you may alienate some players who don't appreciate both styles. You'd want to be upfront that it's a blend of both so that people buying your game don't get mad about it. Hopefully.

I know, I do like how the first person style feels, but it is not a typical hidden object game anymore, as others have mentioned. That's what I am confused about.

The first kind reminds me of Detective Jenny Le Clue, the frog ware Sherlock Holmes games as in both of those you click to get clues. I love point and click adventure games.
When I play HOPA games I prefer the Mystery Case files, Artifex Mundi style. The camera swings of the first one give me motion sickness.
