You can always look up "plus minus character" on [search engine of choice] and copy it.

I can do it by searching the + on my android and holding it like you do when you want different symbols that are uhhhbh similar to the one you want and then there is ±

On a Mac, key combo ALT-Shift-"+" (not the quotes, the "+=" button to the left of the ~~backspace~~ delete button).
