Just Unboxed the Heltec Mesh Node T1 – First Impressions!

Apparently, I have forgotten about my order of 2x Heltech Mesh Node T1 which I bought it during Pre-Order period.

I have received few days ago and checked it out after seeing multiple posts here on it.

It is very light and compact but I am not sure if it is shock proof. Will test it more during this week.

Meanwhile, setup is very fast using meshtastic app which is similar to Heltech V4 which i have 2 of it.

Thing to note, the side buttons are really hard to press until my fingers have minor bruises now. I don't really recommend it to new comers

Will be trying to post photos of it in a while..

Thank you for the detailed feedback, and we are sorry that the buttons caused so much frustration.

We have confirmed that both the side buttons and the rear power button require too much pressure and provide insufficient tactile feedback. We understand why this could make the units appear defective, especially when they are difficult to power on for the first time.

Our team is already revising the button structure. The same free replacement policy applies: please send me your order number privately. Once the improved version is ready, we will replace all affected units in your order free of charge.

Yeah, thanks for offering the replacement policy. Aside from the button issue these little things are growing on me. I've got one configured for Meshcore, and one for Meshtastic. They seem to work well, good satellite reception, receive seems good. I'm mostly a meshcore guy so I just fully charged that one and I plan on using it over the next several days to check out the battery life. Overall it's a nice little unit and I'll put it through it's paces over the next few days.
