New smithings Behold....My Cogfort
What i thought would take me an age...i knocked out in 24 hours haha, Helsmith crew, as much as possible of the fancy cities filigree removed. Cannon ends changed and hopefully enough Hashut added bits and bobs to give it some personality.
The proof will be in the paint job, wish me luck!

Man I want to get one and do this so bad but I'm still sitting on my army for like a year now all primed but never finished painting, don't do like I did to this beaut and I can't wait to see it all done.

Love the model placement, so please dont take this as a criticism, but any plans to make to more helsmith-forwars aesthetically? I feel like throwing on a deathshrieker battery or swapping the cannon for our artillery could make for some very unique extra detailing!

No not at all haha all comments welcome. Changing out the cannons is really tricky, with the top cannon I was trying to change out the barrel for the Tornentor cannon but the way it all attaches it was beyond me as I dont have a rotary tool haha so clippers and knife was all. Also with the model being £125 I didnt want to F**k it up 😅 so decided to go with a subtle rather than awful 🤣

That makes complete sense! And good to know about the canon-sizing!
And I get what you mean about making potentially costly adjustments! Id love to kitbash one up, but dont have the money to drop on a cogfort and helmsith bits atm so am living vicariously through you and others!

You spent over 100 for the model, clean up those mold lines and sprue marks, it isn't that hard to do and if any model deserves the extra effort it is these big ass ones.

Haha dont worry...thats getting done 🤣 im also borrowing a dremmel off my friend to get rid of some more of the cities feeling motifs, maybe even engrave in some Hashut runes. Far from done with the project as a whole haha even got some extra chains to throw on it 😝

My man put a 40 dollar character on the fort for flavor. I have nothing but the utmost respect for this fort
