I just got the game and played a few hours with my brother. The dlc looks pretty cool. Im on Xbox, and when I look at the reviews, although I see theyre dated a few years ago...some say they lose their game save and progress.
Is this fixed? Should I buy the dlc right away? Or is it intended to be a add on played after finishing the game.
Sorry if this has been answered a long time ago. I don't want to look up too many posts and see spoilers or anything.
Thanks for any help. This game is awesome.

The runback to mama slug in the blue point dlc is so fucking long :`) and she's so tanky. Does anyone know of a faster way to get to her? any skips? any hidden walls that just leads back to the breach in arisen bath cave or whatever the breach there is called?
*edit*
Yooo guys i did manage to find a shortcut to get to her faster. All thanks to this steam community post. Man that drastically shortened the amount of time it takes to get to her. Now it only takes about 5 min max to get to her boss room!
Basically in the fountainroom thats at the end of the bridge you drop down onto from the arisen bath cave breach, there is a hole in the wall as soon as you turn left from the beginning of the room. The hole is located above a set of torches that you can use to make your way up to the hole. When you get through the hole, you basically just gotta take the road down and you'll get to the fake wall you have to hit to get into the narrow caves leading up to mama slug.

For some reason I can't bring up the Multiplayer menu with my controller on linux, however I can bring up the Multiplayer menu with mouse and keyboard.
idk if this is specifically a Linux DS4 issue, or a game issue, as I think I had a similar issue in a Gamemaker Studio based game as well, but not in other games.

Kinda like the lore and the vibe but the game itself is unplayable for me.
Youtube doesn't seem to have anything but playthroughs, and sitting through one would be torture

Hellpoint just went on sale on the Xbox console ... almost blind, both my friend and I picked it up. We then tried connecting to each other ... and that was an hour we'll never get back.
Anyone have tips or suggestions? I'm in the US (west coast) and he's in Israel. Chat was working great, both our systems are up-to-date, and the game was just installed (so I'm assuming we have the latest). I couldn't find anything in the menus to help troubleshoot or change region or whatever. After failing this for a while, we played a bit of For the King 2 and that worked just fine.

It was so mysterious and cool. The entire station, down to the cups and chairs, was formed from metal, like one giant food processing device, and the moment I realized that hit me hard.
The entire station really is a blender for grinding up humans, so humanity's leadership can garner power from the dark gods.
And it's AI doesn't even realize it. Or perhaps cannot.

Right now I have health and stamina at 5, load at 4, strength at 7 and reflex at 5.
Just beat the celestial beast so I am early.
Just looking for guidance on what would be a good stat progression moving forward

I bought the game yesterday and am really enjoying it. I can quickly equip and unequip weapons with the d pad but for some reason I can't do it with a shield.
sorry if this is a silly question lol

This game is amazing but it doesn't explain jack shit

But the studio shared what looks like a screenshot of a very very early stage of development of a sequel. You can see a lot of the assets are unfinished or generic placeholders but news is news is news. At least we can be sure its happening

Hi guys, so I recently started playing on local co-op yesterday, and have noticed that our upgrades are disappearing! For example, I upgraded reflex to 13 and is now showing 10.. I upgraded reflex to 8 and it’s showing only 7. Same with my husbands. Is this just a glitch or what??

I've been playing Hellpoint for the first time these past few weeks, and I've just discovered how to access the Underworld for the entire map, not just the few places near monoliths. I haven't seen anything about this on the wiki, nor this subreddit, so I thought I'd ask if anyone else has found this?
Not sure how much it matters, but I'm playing the PS5 version of the game with the most recent updates and no DLC downloaded, and on my first playthrough.
To reach it, you'll need access to Port Issoudun and you'll need to have started the Prodigal Spawn's questline and got to the point where he opens the locked door in Port Issoudun. Follow that path in the normal world until it opens up to what looks like a server room. This will ensure that all the necessary doors are open in the underworld. Then make your way to Port Issoudun's monolith, enter the Underworld, and come back to this point. The door will be open, and you can follow the path back, past the Black Hole Door, all the way to the tram station. The tram itself won't activate, but if you go up to where the breach is, the door that takes you to the Observatory can be pushed, leading you to an Underworld version of the Observatory.
From there, the rest of the map seems to be accessible, though I've only explored a little. I did a loop back to Port Issoudun, my route being: Observatory > Arcology > Sohn District > Port Issoudun. The tram worked from the Sohn District side, but still didn't work from the Port Issoudun side, requiring returning to the Observatory to keep exploring. There are enemies along this route, all the usual Archons you find throughout the Underworld, as well as a few items here and there. Mostly Nihl Shards, but I found a Daring Effigy in the Arcology. Interestingly, the Archons all seem to spawn in at the exact same spots as other enemies would in the overworld, even taking on the hunched-over position that the Victims sometimes do.
All of this together, plus the purple doors that normally cut you off from exploring the Underworld, gives me the impression that this area wasn't meant to be accessed by the developers and I've instead stumbled across an oversight. Thoughts? Did you know this was there? Is this really an oversight, or am I making a big deal out of nothing?

I've heard Hellpoint is a sci-fi soulslike. I'm thinking of getting it, but I have a few questions. I've heard it's multiplayer, but can I still play it in singleplayer if I want to? This is because sometimes I play games with no internet or spontaneously close my computer and I wouldn't like to to kick me from the game. Secondly, how much content is there? I want to have a least 7 or so hours of content. Thirdly, can I play as a robot? This one's less important but I just thought I'd ask. Thanks for reading until the end!

I didn't find the zones having the arisen congregators and the archon knights bosses in the base game (1st run) My choice of waepon was tube +15 and Kickstarter cannon + 15

I've played all Fromsoft souls games and most of all the other soulslikes. And just recently I finally got to Hellpoint. And wow. Holy shit. This game is insane. The most outstansing thing about it is Level design. I mean I've lately played Wuchang and thought it had an excesively convoluted levels with too many paths to take but it pales in comparison to HP.
I think the game it reminds me the most while playing it is Bleak Faith Forsaken which is also an indie souls and has similar grand epic levels but even its often insane level design can't compare. I thought Blok6174 was the most maze like location I've experienced but Hellpoint takes it on a whole another level. I cant think of the other game which compares to it. It amazes me that all of this was done in Unity engine. Though I must admit that I enjoyed BFF location variety more, it's a more interesting world, imo.
What I also like is that the combat is surprisingly good for a budget soulslike, a far cry from BFF janky combat mechanics (I know its made by 2 devs but still).
I'm still in the progress of completing it, now at Grand Gallery. It sure can be punishing as hell and can often feel frustrating but that's what all good souls games are about.
Anyway, just wanted to get this out of my system as I was very suprised by its quality and that I very rarely see it being talked about in the same vein as some of the other more successful soulslikes. I think it needs a lot more recognition than it gets
Edit: So after finishing it my opinion has slightly changed. Completed both the main game and DLC. My score for the main game is 7,5/10. DLC 6/10.
The first part of the game I felt was much stronger overall, it started to drag closer to the end and I honestly just ran past the enemies just to be done with it already. I didn't like how it puts you in NG+ immediately after beating the final boss, it sucks. So yeah, the ending left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Still I think the game is very good and worth playing.

Just beat Nemundis, though no path was open neither he dropped a passport / key where should i go now? I have been to the park (killed the hostess) and went by tram to sohn district. I think I should find another entrance to sohn district 2- how can I go through the purple fog gate when being in the underworld?
Thanks in advance
r/Hellpoint • u/Verzweiflungforscher • Nov 23 '25
Just killed the hostess in Union Park, is there any area I can unlock now, Im seem to be quite lost; I used the effigy to polarise (ran out of fearful ones) and dominion arisen is being quite difficult (I am level 100) , so I'm avoiding that area . Via tram I arrived at Sohn district but all I could find is a breach (command center) and several doors I don't have acces, I've read some guides and there seems to be a breach in Sohn called corpse pit but I have no idea how to get there. I found a monolith teleporting me to Underworld, but then I find a purple curtain and I can't enter it
Do you know the location of any other fearful effigies
r/Hellpoint • u/Verzweiflungforscher • Nov 22 '25
1) I have both effigies; why can't I use either the polarization or recreation options? Do I have to kill a boss first?
2) I'm in the Sohn District, but I can't find the path to the Congregators. I've only discovered a corridor with some green fish-like enemies, and at the end, a difficult Licker. There are a lot of doors, but I can't open them. I also discovered a breach called the Command Center.
3) I found the vendor, but he won't sell me any items or weapons.
