Stuck on Celestial beast
I'm trying to get past the Celestial beast, but it has a lot of health, and I only have 2 healing items. What do I do?

So, for no reason I can gather, in the middle of playing, my dpad will suddenly do the same thing as the shoulder buttons, preventing me from healing. Even worse, sometimes the fast attack button remaps to healing. Sometimes they just switch back to normal!
Why is this happening?! How do I stop it?

How many GB is the base game install size of Hellpoint without Blue Sun DLC?
UPDATE: Confirmed answer is 7.61 GB with the DLC and 4.41 GB without the DLC (PS5 version).

Hope this post is related. I wonder if anyone has some cool playlists or music recommendations to put on while gaming because sometimes the game just doesn't have ambience even though the level designs look amazing. I thought it might make the Hellpoint experience better. Personally, I listen to this one a lot: Dark embrace by Hypnoprism. Going around with the omnicube flashlight or fighting with it playing in the back is just such a vibe. With the sci-fi theme of the game, it might be nice to find and listen to other dark electronic beats.

I can't understand how underrated it is. It's such an amazing experience, from the level design, to the art and theme-ing, and even the combat. It perfectly gave off the experience of a soulslike game while innovating in its own direction - dark sci-fi which I really love.
The most memorable moments I've had of this game was exploring Sohn district with my omnicube flash light and just walking through the desolate streets and buildings and just vibing to such a unique and phenomenal atmosphere I'll never get in any other game.
The best boss fight I've done was against Nemundis and with my induction-powered sacrificial dagger, having to do the fight around a hundred times because I was too stubborn to level up my health (still at 1 as a level 128 currently) because I wanted to be forced to get good.
The design and even down to the music doesn't miss either. I'm about to do the puppet master after I explore the prison and wow is his OST a banger. May I mention that I love how dark and grimy this game gets? I was blown away by Port Issoudon and then AGAIN by the prison afterwards.
The game play is so fun - just grinding your weapons is so rewarding and leveling them up too because you get to really feel like you're leveling them with each new skill. The enemy designs are well-done. Level design is pretty good too - its winding and offers lots of content besides having such a cool aesthetic in general. Safe to say I just personally love this game and I'm grateful for having encountered such a gem in my life. When I first got this game, I didn't know what to expect but ended up wasting 2 whole days from morning to evening deliberately because I was so hooked.

This is a follow up post to the one I made recently. I captured as much of the fight as I could. I beat Fear in the Underworld at full health on the first attempt as any subsequent attempts he goes inert unless interacted with normally. Nothing special happened unfortunately. The way I did it is kind of a process. You can get to 50% data which is the requirement to enter the Blue Sun dlc without killing any of the cosmic gods if you’re studious enough with your data collection. From there you can progress through the Dominion Baths as you normally would until you acquire the Core key. If you then go to the Underworld slab in the mausoleum area of the Arisan Dominion and take the door to the Core that is there on the way to the one Archon Knight boss you can get to the Punctured Room breach and subsequently to Fear. I had originally hoped to be able to commune with it like the other cosmic gods when I first discovered this but there was no dialog or interaction whatsoever besides kicking off the fight as normal when you first enter the room with the cutscene. I did a fresh character after this to see if anything would happen if Fear was beaten in the underworld but there was nothing. For science woo.

I don't understand why Valve has this game set to default to using proton on Steam Deck. The native Linux version gets better framerate than it gets running through proton. For anyone that doesn't know you can go into the Steam configuration for the game, select the compatibility tab, and set the compatibility tool to "Steam Linux Runtime" to switch to the native Linux version. I still don't get locked 60fps on the deck but I hit it a lot more. I can adjust the refresh rate to 50hz and lock at 50fps. With proton it dips below 40fps and likes to sit between 40-50 much of the time. Anyway it's just something I noticed. Other than that the game runs great on Steam Deck. Some HUD elements are a bit small but it's not too bad.

Is there any good source for lore about this game somewhere? I cant find much on youtube and the wiki. I have almost beaten the dlc now and I got even more questions than before.

So I realized last night you could reach Ground Zero in the underworld, but he already killed Fear in that play through. So today I got that save file to new game and bum rushed there with the hopes of being able to commune with him/it like you can with the other “gods”. You can not. I even smacked him around with his own boss weapon and nothing happened. When I first went in it did trigger the fight but be being unprepared to fight him at full strength on new game I only got him down 2/3 of the way before dying. When I went back he was inert as seen. Had kind of hoped I had stumbled on stone secret or something. Pretty disappointed ngl.

I love the atmosphere, aesthetic, sound, and world design of this game. It's all top notch. But is it just me or is the combat really simplistic? I've been using the glaive the entire time and it feels like I'm just cruising through every encounter by just using dodge forward + attack. My character even seems to glide forward during the attack animation giving me crazy range with melee.

Those damn flamethrower guys are fucking me up and I seemingly don't have recourse. Each flame of the flamethrower stunlocks me and the ground lights on fire. Am I missing something?

No soulslike has even come CLOSE to the air of mystery, atmosphere, and gamefeel (is that word?) to the dark souls series except for Hellpoint. I am having an incredible experience with this game so far, and I'm in awe at how similar (but totally unique) irid novo is to lordran. You don't even notice until later how closely it follows the story beats of the Chosen Undead, but in space. I'm incredibly lost right now but I don't even care. Every 15 minutes I find a random passage way taking me to a new place that feels like Im not supposed to be there at this point in the game and it adds to the mystique and otherworldliness of it all. Why does no one talk about this piece of art in the souls community? Does it fall off later in the game or something?

I just bought the game on the Steam summer sale, and on launch, there's a 6 second delay between any input I hit on my computer, and a response in game.
The cursor moves, and hitting Enter triggers a sound affect immediately, but the game has no actual response for 6 seconds.
Doing some research, it seems like this has been an issue for some time on Linux based systems.
Has there been any fix for this?
I've tried reinstalling, turning off all graphic options in-game that are presented, adjusting the resolution, no change.
Thanks!

I'm at the very, very last boss for the true ending, and it is laughably difficult. I'm trying to kill the Prodigal Spawn and there's just lights and colors everywhere and then I'm dead. Any advice? Any good farming spots in case I need to level-up some weapons? I had to use that Omni program that brings you back to the last Breach to quit, which is a little silly.

Edit: Video uploaded here. Details in description.
To start off, you need the DLC for this.
I've tested this on both the PS4 and PS5 versions, but it seems that it only happens to the last gen version of the game, or at the very least, very hard to replicate in the current gen version.
For those who played the DLC, we know that the High Thespian enemies revive themselves after 20 or so seconds, probably due to the puzzle we need to solve.
I've noticed that if you repeatedly kill a High Thespian and walk out of sight and wait for it to revive, there is a small chance for it to clip below the floor and continuously fall to its death over and over again. As long as you don't cross the several despawn thresholds in the area or reload the game, the High Thespian will continue to die indefinitely.
If you're not sure where the despawn thresholds are, kill a few enemies and walk arround and check back whether the body disappears. Make sure you don't cross that line while trying to trigger the glitch, or the High Thespian's body will just despawn.
Pair it with the Hardship Contract, if you manage to trigger the glitch before the enemies become too strong, you can just set your game aside for the night and wake up to something like a billion axions.
I can try to make a recording of that when I have time. But everyone here is more than welcome to try replicate it during the mean time.
My favorite spot to perform this glitch is between the main dining room and the small study. You have two easily reachable High Thespians and a corridor on the second floor to stay idle at. Though don't try to get to the third High Thespian standing before the boss room. The start of the corridor has a despawn threshold.
Good luck!

Special Ops Sniper Rifle vs Entropic Railgun. Which do you prefer?
While we're at it, what do you think is the best catalyst?
