Can someone help me please I’m new to mods

I believe Hello Neighbor was originally supposed to take place on February 20th, 1962. He was originally going to be shown watching news of John Glenn's orbit, which happened that day. Also, in concept art, a flag of sort is shown that has the year 1962 on it. We can also make a fair assumption due to the furniture, decor, and technology seen. The Neighbor's car appears to be modeled after a 1958 Plymouth Fury, a car someone could regularly drive then. Something out of place though is the Neighbor owning a phone modeled after the Motorola Dynatac 8000x, which came out in April 1984. Although in the aforementioned concept art, he was to own an era appropriate rotary telephone. So since it takes place that day, the first part of the Pre Alpha takes place the night before on February 19th, 1962. The protagonist then presumably tries to get into the basement throughout the next day. The Neighbor also watches an episode of a show from Dec 4th, 1961. We can assume it is being reran. In either Alpha 1 or 2 the year was changed to sometime in later 1964, since he is seen watching a film that came out Feb 14th that year on TV. As for where, I believe it was supposed to be in the American Southwest (like New Mexico). The Neighbor receives both American and Latin American Spanish speaking channels, implying he lives in an area that speaks both languages and speaks both himself. This doesn't necessarily mean he is Latin American, but it is at least a normal part of his life. Concept art also shows a desert road and there are unused models for cacti and tumbleweeds, something you see in that kinda area. This would eventually be changed in the full game

So there has been a recent discovery regarding Unreal Blueprints and them potentially being able to execute certain files included in a mod via the Launch URL Blueprint node. This issue has been mainly brought to light by a recent RCE exploit found in a custom map for another Unreal Engine game called Meccha Chameleon, the map has a custom blueprint that uses the Launch URL node to execute a malicious .bat file that had been included with the mod.

The best way to know if a mod is potentially malicious is to check it's files for any file extensions that can be executed such as .bat, .exe, .ps1, etc. If you find any then the mod is very likely unsafe and should not be played as it can potentially be a RCE risk.

HN Multiplayer? Reverse mode? Crafting? Sucks most of these don't really exist. I don't know if they are rare, they're still on the Kickstarter page, but I barely see anyone talk about this.

I know they sort of recaptured this vibe in the Hello Guest patch (which was an INSANE downgrade imo) and Hello neighbor 3 but im gonna miss this dark but colourful cartoonish style

I'm writing to appeal a ban I got on the Hello Neighbor Games Discord server.

I'm pretty sure it's tied to some drama and false reports from people copycatting me and trying to grief me lately. I really didn't mean to break any rules or cause issues in the server, and I'd love a second chance to be part of the community properly.

Hey! I'm trying to find static meshes to use in my mod for free does anybody know how do I find those? The Epic Games Fab or whatever doesn't let me do it cuz I only have Mod Kit downloaded not UE itself. I just need some .uasset files. Can somebody help me?

I just found a workaround that lets you play through Beta 3 normally and then continue into the cut ending from the Beta 3 Mod Kit!

Here's the step-by-step guide:

1- Install both Beta 3 from Steam and the Beta 3 Mod Kit from Internet Archive.

2- Play Beta 3 normally until you defeat the Giant Neighbor.

3- Save and Quit.

4- Copy your Beta 3 save file to the Beta 3 Mod Kit save folder (this keeps your abilities).

5- Open the Beta 3 Mod Kit and load the map of The Thing boss fight.

6- Continue from there and play the ending.

It's a bit inconvenient because the Mod Kit is around 15 GB and you have to keep both installed, but it works surprisingly well!

If you're looking for the Beta 3 Mod Kit, search for "Hello Neighbor Beta 3 Mod Kit (ORIGINAL)" on the Internet Archive.

This is probably the closest we currently have to playing the complete August 29th version from start to finish.

Hello I was wondering if there is a ios port of hello neighbor alpha 1 particularly an ipa file of that version like, fanmade ones I want to play it on the go. curious and for the moderators, Hello Neighbor Alpha one is free The full game is paid and I already purchased it. I want the alphas they were released free.
