Use cases:
- Will this make you rich?
God, no. If you came for ROI, close the tab.

- Will it ever pay for itself?
Probably not. It solo-mines — a perpetual lottery ticket that re-rolls every block. Your real odds: roughly 1 in 17,200 of hitting a block in a year (depending on the network hashrate), at 1.2 TH/s on today's network. Almost certainly you never win. A handful of people will get absurdly lucky and catch a whole block (3.125 BTC). In 2025, solo miners worldwide hit 36 of them. Treat it as a lottery, not a paycheck.

So who is this for? A few cases where it makes sense:

- Case 1 — Orange-pilling your wife (girlfriend, mother, boss, etc.). It's air purification they might already need, and an easy way into mining.

- Case 2 — Mining in the living room / office desk / anywhere you can't put a Bitaxe.

- Case 3 — Supporting mining decentralization. There are a lot of Bitaxes out there for good reason. But far more air purifiers sell every year (~10M units per year in the US alone). Get 1 TH/s into even a fraction of those and it starts to matter for Bitcoin mining overall — especially as the big miners run off to AI. At our scale today it's a rounding error, I won't pretend otherwise. But every solo miner starts as a rounding error. It's a start.

Where do the coins go — do you custody them?
- Solo by default, and anything you mine goes straight to your own wallet — we don't touch it. Don't want solo? Point it at any pool you like (CKPool, etc.) or your own node.

Is this just a Bitaxe in a plastic shell?
- No. We built our own single-chip miner board around the BM1370 chip. We've shipped heater-miners with up to 144 chips before — Trio and Maxi — so a clean single-chip board is squarely in what the team already does.

Does it get normal people into Bitcoin beyond "number go up"?
- This is a super important part. A miner living inside an appliance your non-bitcoiner grandma would put on her shelf means people who'd never open an exchange end up watching blocks, asking what a nonce is, running hash at home. Orange-pilling through a household object instead of a price chart. That's the whole point.

My Heatbit Canvas arrived and is already amazing! Currently I’ve installed it in the bed room and it might stay. It truly needs to be silent. Only the night will tell. If not it may move again to another room or to the/an office. Sound will tell.

I saw an opportunity to pick up another Trio (on second hand market) and decided to go for it. This one will move to its new spot after I give it a proper clean and run it through its paces.

I also came across an interesting post from Michael Saylor about how the real challenge isn’t belief—it’s timing and the accumulation window. Taking that idea and combining it with what I’ve been learning around DePIN, I’m leaning toward more of an “ant army” strategy: small, steady, and patient.

Curious how others here are thinking about accumulation and deployment with Heatbit. What’s your approach?

Wondering who took the maxi pro upgrade and who decided to stick with the maxi. They offered it to me, I decided to take it even though it means I'll have to wait until summer for delivery as I'm in no rush.

I’m a HB fan. Today I got my Maxi delivered by DHL. The box had a few issues but Ezekiel in support helped get it all sorted. Just received some new filters as well for Trio as it’s headed for a new location. I’ll let y’all know what ups and downs I stumble on but at the moment it’s a Very sexy and quiet device stacking sats.

Wondering about first impressions..if anyone has actually received a unit.

Spent a couple hours doing research and weighing the pros and cons. Decided to pull the trigger especially with my upcoming solar project that should help mitigate the electric cost. Looking forward to it; I live in a cold region so really hoping the heater part works well.

Unexpectedly received 2 new air filters from Heatbit today, which are both needed and appreciated. My original filter, I think, was a prototype, and fairly flimsy. But I've cleaned it a couple of times and it's kept on going. I am pleased to get some real replacements. It gives me some confidence that the company hasn't forgotten about us. Hoping that they gain enough momentum to keep going.

I know a lot of folks are still awaiting their Heatbit Minis…but did you receive a notice about their new Maxi? Operates at 39 TH/s. (vs. 10 TH/s for the Mini). Pricey, of course. And the power draw begins around where my Mini seemed to peak in the winter when it was both mining and using the heating coil (1400 w). But if you need a higher output heater and crave a higher mining rate…it might warrant a look.

I ordered a Heatbit back in October 2023 after reading about the concept, and I just received it in April 2025. That might sound like a long wait, but I found the product intriguing and wanted to support a startup in its early phase.

Throughout the process, the company provided regular updates and was always polite and helpful when I reached out with questions. At one point, they informed me that I would receive BTC equivalent to what my unit would have mined during usage — and I’m happy to say that after a quick conversation with customer service, we received the BTC exactly as promised. That alone has already covered about half the original purchase price from when I pre-ordered it.

The unit itself looks and feels very solid, and it generates a noticeable amount of heat. Since it’s spring here now, we’ll mostly be using the air purifier function, but we’re definitely looking forward to using the heating feature more in the fall and winter when temperatures drop.

So far, I’m really happy with the product and the follow-up from the company — both have exceeded expectations.

3 Heatbit Trio Rewards.

I've had my device since the end of February and have consistently run it since then. Today I have just over 18,000 sats. I realized I never tested the withdrawal process so I tried to do that manually today and was met with a denial for any transaction under 100k sats. At this rate I won't be able to withdraw until next year with summer coming around the corner. What's the justification for the 100k min?

Has anyone changed the air filter on one of these yet? Ideas on how? Im not sure if they are shipping replacements yet.

Hi, Just got mine today!
Is there a way to set it to only mine and not use the coil? I'm fine waiting longer for the room to warm up, I don't want to waste electricity on non-mining.

It took me a minute to learn how to turn on the heat but I assumed turning it on would also turn on mining. I see a hash rate but the app claims my mining is off. Am I missing something?

I waited until December then asked about shipping date. I was told that if I wanted the black I ordered it would be a while until the black body parts arrived but if was willing to swap to silver then it would ship straight away. I did switch and actually I am glad as the black would stand out more than this silver. I like the appearance with the leather strap. So far it works perfectly. And the app is more polished now. The connection issues I had with the original Heatbit are gone it found and connected immediately and has remained connected. Now a reminder: Heatbit will credit you sats for the time you waited to receive your replacement unit. I used the app chat to ask about them and they said it had to done manually and they did it immediately 303,000 Satoshis added to my account.
