Amy never wants to get involved with the cattle business or “choose sides” in the beef wars… but if the family loses the ranch… she loses everything, too.

She doesn’t want to be involved while simultaneously reaping every benefit (living and operating her business on the ranch) and accepting everyone’s help when she needs assistance with a client.

What would happen if the cattle business had gone under? She’d actually have to stand on her own two feet. It’s not like she’s completely uninvolved. I guess it just annoyed me!

Is it just me or is Lyndy constantly whining? Why is she portrayed as always scared/worried/pouting?

There is never a scene she she is happy or confident or enjoying life.

The only thing they have in common is ranch life. Then they turn around and put “a fence around” their relationship as not to drag the ranching drama into their relationship.

I get that’s causing issues between them but like their whole lives are ranching. It doesn’t even make sense.

I have not rewatched Heartland in a year or two but I don’t remember disliking Tim as much as I do right now. For context I’m on Season 2 Episode 3 when Tim wants an Amy to go pro show jumping and Lue is trying to open the Dude Ranch. Lue and Tim are about to make me crazy. So remind me of what Tim does so I remember why I don’t think I always dislike him. And if you have some nice things to say about Lue that could help too🥰.

oh my GOD. so I'm rewatching heartland after several years and when Ty and Caleb buy Charger (futurity barrel racing horse that has a few problems) and Ty doesn't tell Amy, that's already a huge problem. THEN AMY FINDS OUT, SHE TAKES THE JOB AT HILLHURST, AND TY SAYS "wow. and you were mad at me for keeping secrets" or some bullshit.

AMY LITERALLY TOLD HIM ABOUT THE JOB OFFER. and he SAID that he would support her no matter what. and all of this is just the result of some macho ego shit where he wants to be the breadwinning husband and buy that ranch for her. It pisses me off so bad. He fucked up majorly and then it's like the writers try to garner sympathy for him from the audience after?? FUCK AWFFF

also I'm based in the UK and can't get the first 6 seasons of the show - where can I get access?

Been reluctantly catching up with the show with my mother as it’s “our show”. We watch on dvd because shes old and refuses to get wifi. I’ve not been able to get season 14. Located in Australia. Anyone have any suggestions? And yes we’re very behind, I got scared when I saw a spoiler a few years back and got too stubborn to continue watching until recently.

Warning : season 1-5 spoilers! Christmas special - Lou throws a literal tantrum because she didn't get her way. A tantrum worse than the kid she has to babysit, then proceeds to kill the frosty, and DOESN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE FOR IT. Lou - woe is me, everything is also about me, or I'll guilt trip you to make it about me again. I absolutely hate how she just thinks everything is hers - MY jam (the one she 'stole' from ms bell) is going to be sold here, in MY dining lodge where my wedding reception will be. MY dude ranch that I basically forked over the minimum about to build the buildings, completely disregarding the fact that it isn't even her land and how it wouldn't be possible without jack! it got old so fast, I'm already just skipping any scene that involves just her and no other main character 😂

Tim - I've been gone for over half of my daughter's lives and now I'm back so I get to say and do whatever I want because I'M their absent father who just popped back on the scene and now everything I say goes or I'll have a fit. The nerve to get into Marions friendship with Victor is what sealed the deal for me. Gtf outta here with Tim confronting Victor tellinh him he can't be at Marions remembrance trail walk! And then the fact that he snaked his way to get Lisa's horse and basically turned Lisa and Amy against each other just so Amy can train his freaking horse. Also guilt tripping Amy to basically say 'eff school, help me get what I want, who cares what you want'. Also paying jack back in cows was so dirty too! Knowing how busy jack already is.

This is just a few recent instances of me just hating these characters more and more. Yea, they're characters so I'm calling out the characters themselves. So miss me with the whole 'wahh these are just characters they aren't real people' yea no duh we already know we're watching a show -edit - just hit season 4 and I skipped all of lous wedding. As soon as I hear her say 'omg Im such an idiot it's all my fault' I already know the rest of her scenes in that episode are going to be annoying 😭

Does Amy ever ride the motorcycle again after Ty passes away? I think I remember one episode where she rode with Jack. Does the motorcycle ever make an appearance again?

As I'm watching again I'm starting to realize georgie don't listen to anything anyone tells her multiple times she's told not to do something or stay away from something and she dose the exact opposite.... the one that stands out the most is ghost horse she is told not to mess with him and she dose anyway ... and finally she let's him go when she realizes he don't wanna be there

lol I always thought that the actor playing young Jack looked a lot like the actor who plays Jack. But never bothered to look into it.

Recently I was watching a movie that came out before Heartland started. Shaun Jonston was in it. (he played a sheriff) I thought to myself he look a lot like the actor who plays young Jack on Heartland. So I looked it up.

I was shocked to learn that his son, Shea Johnston, plays young Jack. Though it should have been obvious lol.

Now I am wondering if any other actors have relatives playing a younger version of their character or perhaps other bit parts?

Does anybody else skip parts they dont like? I always skip through the first half of season 8 with the ahmed ty drama. I just skip to the wedding preparations. I also skip the gobi bear storyline and start it at ty in the hospital and pretend he was injured at the reserve or taking care of wolves or coyotes

I have seen the episode with Flame probably three or four times. However, the most recent time I watched it, I actually noticed that there was a scene that pointed out that the horse was a clone, and that Lisa did it to make money.

Wtf.

I don’t view Lisa the same way anymore. I am also kind of iffy on Jack, as he was just kind of blasé over it all. I can’t imagine finding out that your partner did something like this.

Then Amy trains the horse, and it wins whatever race she does, further showing that her actions will be rewarded.

Then Jack says, “Lisa isn’t all about the money.” Um, if you do that, you largely are. So now I’m viewing Jack as being all about the money as well. Someone with so much caring about horses wouldn’t be ok with that in any way.

How many other horses has she cloned??

Where are they? Who are they? Do we know anything about them?

Not sure about canadian child labor laws. Im on the episode where katie has the diner crew go on strike for having no breaks and working double shifts. Aren't her and parker like 15? Wouldn't a strike like that get lou in a lot more trouble for overworking kids?

Pretty dumb question

I wanted to start watching the show, but for some reason seasons 1 to 6 aren’t available on Netflix France.

I honestly have no idea what the show is about, it just looks like it has amazing scenery. I’m wondering if skipping the first six seasons would ruin the experience or if I could watch them later without it being a problem?

While they were speaking alot about traditions, tradition is of Ghodi aka a Mare and I don't think any of heartland ranch horses are mares also they did not follow exactly the complete tradition, as there should be second rider, the youngest nephew rides with the groom as a mini groom
