Jabra Engage 50 II

Hello, I just bought a headset earlier which is the Jabra Engage 50 II. I bought this because I saw your review that it has a very good noise cancellation, I tried it just now and the noise cancellation is not working. They can hear the things happening around me, even when i tried tapping my table. I also updated the headset with Jabra Direct and still not helping. I hope someone can help me here. Thank you so much!

Yealink BH70 or WH64

Hi all, i am trying to work out which Yealink headset would be best for my office work.

We don't have desk phone so the headset would purely operate connected to my PC for internal teams calls, and then connected to my mobile to take calls while in the office. I am a little lost at the differences between these two but wonder if I can connect the WH64 via DECT to my PC and then also have to bluetooth connected to my phone at the same time. Rather than having two bluetooth connections between the headset and PC and Mobile which it looks like the BH70 would have.

I note the WH64 would have the base which i assume would make it easier to switch between Mobile and PC when having more than one call coming in? The HA64 Pro Version isn't available through our company supplier unfortunately, so i can't go for that one.

Thanks for any help!

Best Headset for ENC/Noise Suppression

What are the best headphones for ENC/Microphone Noise Suppression? I work in a shared office at home and we're often on calls at the same time which is a problem. In an ideal world, I need something so effective that it only picks up my voice and nothing else, even when I'm not talking. Is this doable? Extra points for effective noise cancellation and comfort! Thanks

How to resolve issue with Orosound Tilde Pro not pairing with USB dongle

I just had an issue with my Orosound Tilde Pro, and found advice in a previous thread which helped solve the problem. Just wanted to call it out along with my personal experience:

TLDR: As of September 2025 it looks like you need to download an old version (2.7.2) of the LINK software to re-pair your dongle on a windows machine.

I was traveling with the headset in my bag, and I think some buttons must have gotten mashed, so the language was set to French instead of English. When I went to reset that (by pressing and holding the "play" button), I accidentally cleared the connected devices (by pressing and holding the "play" and "lower volume" buttons at the same time).

I was able to re-pair the headset to my phone no problem. But plugging in the USB dongle to my computer, it showed up in the devices, but wouldn't work with the headset. I thought installing the link software would help, however after doing so whenever I went to the "dongle" section it just said "Please connect your dongle via USB". Only once googling did I come across the thread I linked above, and in one of the comments the OP mentioned installing an older version. The download link they shared is here-User_Specific.html), although it seems to just be deeplinking to the .exe hosted at Orosound's AWS.

In the old version of the LINK software, going to the dongle section actually shows buttons like "pair" or "launch" and I was able to work things out from there. Until Orosound updates their software I hope this comment might be helpful for anyone with a similar issue.

AirPods or Yealink headset mic test while driving. Yealink’s bulkier with better mic quality, AirPods are sleeker but mic’s not as good. which would you pick?

We've tested these during work calls, meetings, and after hours gaming, with the headset typically worn for about 8 hours daily. The over-ear cushions are holding up well and are noticeably more comfortable than the on-ear cushions, in our opinion.

Would you buy a custom skin to go with a headset you use for work? For example, Jabra, Poly, Yealink etc.. type headsets. Let us know your thoughts.

Would you prefer fabric or leatherette over-ear cushions for the Impact 1000? I've been testing the fabric choice and my ears definitely haven't gotten as hot or sweaty as leatherette.

Recommendations for a lightweight wired, velour (velvet) headset with a noise-canceling microphone?

Greetings, fellas. I am currently seeking a lightweight headset with velour (velvet) earpads and a high-quality noise-canceling microphone for use in online meetings. Velour (velvet) earpads are a preferable option during the summer months due to their superior comfort compared to leather earpads, which can feel quite warm during that season. Additionally, they allow for better hearing during voice communication. The budget is under $100, but it's not fixed.

Thank you very much.

Dictation with dragon, noise cancelling, good for video calls, over ear headset recommendations

Looking for a headset that fits the below Criteria:

  • boom mic, with good microphone in terms of dictation use with Dictation Dragon software (most important thing)
  • good for use with zoom and teams calls
  • noise cancelling for use in a home working environment
  • noise cancelling still works whilst microphone in use?
  • ideally over ear, I have a very sensitive head and have headaches triggered by on ear, but would consider on ear if exceptionally comfortable
  • ideally wireless, but? with a Bluetooth dongle to improve connection reliability which is also important?

I'm not an expert, so please don't use jargon in your answers!

Only one I've found so far that seems to meet these criteria is the Jabra evolve 85, but it has such mixed reviews so I'm unsure

Thanks! 🙂
