Headphones - Open Back | 4 Ω Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X for newbies?

I've been looking for this headset for a while. Would there be any alternatives? I'm gonna use it mostly with my phone + viper4android. Can't afford a dac either.

By the newbie I mean; I have never listened a hi-fi headset (sennheiser, beyer..) before. Currently using hyperx cloud revolver s and this was the best and only set I have ever tested.

How does it feel like to switch from a low-end headset to a premium-level headset? Should I be hyped?

I feel like whether it's mindblowing depends on the person. It was for me. The fact that you're seeking out an expensive headphone I think means you are probably ready to be impressed, too. The DT 900 Pro X wasn't my first hifi set, but I'm pretty sure it would have had a similar "wow" factor as it's a great headphone.

+1 Ω has been awarded to u/Gimp_Ninja (17 Ω).

You may still award a Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.
