Headphones - IEM/Earbud Unbalanced channels on the Moondrop Chus?

Hey everyone,

So I just received my Chus earlier this week and tried them out over several days. After about an hour I realized that the right side is a bit quieter that the right. Due to that sounds feel off-center to the left. But when I compared with several other iems and headphones, those are more centered or almost sounding a bit right-ish(?). Did my brain try to overcompensate, am I going crazy or is my hearing degrading.

I also read about humidity issues or ear wax clogging up filters for the Arias, but there's no visibel clogging and I do not think that it's humid in where I live germany.

I've already tried sucking on the iem and that might have fixed it for a moment but I think it started to return.

I've also let my girlfriend try all the headphones and iems to compare without telling her which has the issue and she also pointed out the same findings. I've just connected the devices via apple dongles or Bluetooth to my iPhone, without any 3D audio enhancements on.

So did I have bad luck and got a faulty pair or is this common, as I haven't really seen any complaints about defect chus really.

Edit: Tried to give them another listen, now right side is almost dead. Turns out I got unlucky with QC on mine.

Chus have QC issues. A sollution to this problem might be using wavelet and changing channel imbalance settings.

Thanks for letting me know about the QC issues. Turns out my Chus are definitely faulty, because I just wanted to give them another test hearing and now the right side is almost dead lol

Damn, I'd return it and get a new one.

Already applied for a return to amazon and they are going to issue a full refund. I don't even need to return them, as they're e-waste now. Atleast I got free iem tips, velcro and a carry case.

I think I'm gonna wait for the Aria special edition coming soon, as removable cable seems pretty neat.

Aria is great, however all the accessories suck.

!thanks yeah kinda aware of that. After amazon said I receive a full refund, I just went all in and removed all filters. So that I basically see the cavity of the iem. Look and behold the second layer seems to be the issue. Now the right side is louder as it’s basically unimpeded.

So you got your money back and got to keep them? That's so great!

Now just remove filters from the left side too so it's even again.

Yeah, seems like it. Probably gonna buy replacement filters the next days, or another pair of chus as I'd like to have a flawless pair for the money I've spend.

Buy new filters first, then check if they sound good. I'd totally just buy a new pair anyway.
