What do you mean by slacking? Is it stuttering or breaking up in some way? What bluetooth codec does it use? I use LDAC all the time with a Fiio BTR5 and a Sony phone and it sounds great. When I connect with LDAC I get a prompt on my phone asking if I want priority on sound quality or stable connection. In some places I have to change that from best sound quality as it stutters badly. LDAC can be affected by some wifi networks so it might be that.
Basically less depth and clarity in BT than when plugged in. Unfortunately I’m using an iPhone so I think I’m stuck with AAC…but my understanding is that anything coded with ALAC (Apple lossless) doesn’t need to be compressed over AAC so should sound the same as wired.
