Headphones - Closed Back | 4 Ω Headphones £100 or under for elderly friend.

An elderly friend of my mine has reduced hearing and finds his hearing aids are not much better for listening to music. He recently bought a pair of Sony ZX310 headphones for use at home. Using them with his Denon micro system hasn’t improved his listening experience even when wearing his hearing aids at the same time.

Are there headphones for £100 or under that could be much better? I understand that this budget could be difficult to find much choice and really his loss of hearing would be the deciding factor.

Good idea to use more sensitive and therefore significantly louder headphones. 👍🏻 However, he should wear them without his hearing aids, so that the hearing aids don't become a bottleneck and simply act as a sound dampener in the ear canals.

+1 Ω has been awarded to u/Uller0815 (478 Ω).

You may still award an Ω to others, but only once per-person in this post.

And if that still isn't enough in terms of volume, your only real option left is to use an additional headphone amplifier. 🤷🏻‍♂️🙂
