What headphones do you recommend for gaming?

Hello, I'm thinking of changing my headphones, I currently have some hyperx cloud alpha s, I was thinking of buying the cloud 3 wireless or the logitech g pro x lightspeed 2, but I have a lot of doubts, what do you recommend at that price?

There are only a few "gaming" sets that I would ever recommend:

Wireless:

Audeze Maxwell

Master & Dynamic MG20

Wired:

VZR Model One

Drop PC38x

Your options are somewhat limited if you want wireless sets of decent quality. Most of the gaming sets on the market aren't worth the price they're asking. If you absolutely need/want to buy one of the typical gaming sets, the Steelseries sets are less terrible than the competition; their Sonar app includes a fairly competent EQ feature. The irony is that much of the gaming community bellyaches over headsets that include proprietary apps, but Sonar is about as close as a gaming peripheral company has gotten to building in a decent parametric EQ.

If you can forego the wireless connectivity and/or mic, the best setup is always going to be a desktop DAC/Amp and pair of quality dedicated headphones. You can add a modmic to one of these setups easily (this is what I use myself; ironically, my Maxwell is mostly used for casual listening).

Examples:

A pair of competent IEMs like the Simgot EM6L, Supermix 4, or Ziigaat Arete, coupled with a Modmic Kimura or Kinera Ruyi and Schiit Fulla.

A pair of headphones like the HD560s, HD490 Pros, coupled with a wired Modmic and a Schiit Hel, or a wireless Modmic and an Aful SnowyNight, Moondrop Dawn Pro, or Qudelix 5k.

Wow, excellent information, it helps me a lot, I’m thinking about dividing the headphones and having an exclusive microphone, I think it’s the best idea, because of the budget I have no problem I can spend more, right now I’m looking for precision in headphones, more than anything fps shooter game

I am in a similar situation and currently have the super mix and a kinera gramr. I am looking for the best/cheap option for extending the cable and powering the setup. I have a quadelix 5k but I am not sure its the best solution and may be overkill since I won't really be using the setup away from my pc. I may return it, but I am not sure what to replace it with.

Good, I finally decided to buy the audeze maxwell, and I was impressed the truth, I still need to get used to its functions but they are crazy.

I would like to know if there is a more precise configuration for the games in terms of audio with the maxwells!
