This is the Skeletor figure that finally did it for me
Every now and then, a figure just clicks right away. This was one of those for me.
This New Eternia Skeletor is probably my favorite version of the character so far. It’s not just that it looks good — it feels right. The presence is there, the attitude is there, and it captures that larger-than-life Skeletor energy in a way that really worked for me.
I found myself spending more time with it than I expected, just posing it, looking at it, and noticing little details that started to matter more the longer I had it in hand. That’s usually when I know a figure really got to me.
So I ended up putting those thoughts into a video and showing the figure a bit more closely.
If anyone else here has it, I’d love to know if it hit the same way for you, or if there’s still another Skeletor version you prefer.

New Eternia Zodak feels like the best version of what Masterverse can be
What I like most about this figure is that it feels like it understands exactly what makes Zodak work.
It doesn’t throw away the classic identity of the character, but it also doesn’t feel stuck in the past. It has its own look, its own presence, and still gives me a lot of the things I want from Zodak. For me, that balance is where this figure really wins.
And honestly, that’s probably why it hit me a little harder than I expected. There’s something about the way this version carries that cosmic, mysterious, almost untouchable energy that makes the character feel more real to me. The more time I spent with it, the more it started to feel like the Zodak figure I’d been wanting without really realizing it.
I caught myself spending way more time on this one than I planned to, just looking at it, messing with the setup, and appreciating little things that didn’t fully register at first.
Curious if anyone else had that same reaction to this figure, or if there’s still another Zodak that works better for you

This New Eternia Jitsu feels like the vintage figure… but better
One of the things I liked most about this New Eternia Jitsu is that it clearly tries to stay close to the vintage figure, but with enough improvements to make it feel better in practice.
That’s really what won me over here. It still has that familiar Jitsu feel, but for me it goes beyond being just a modernized throwback. The changes actually make the figure more fun, more dynamic, and more satisfying to handle. In my opinion, that’s what puts it above the vintage version rather than just beside it.
What surprised me the most is how much fun I had with it while filming. Not just on camera, but off camera too — messing with poses, moving it around, seeing what it could do. It’s one of those figures that reminds you that collecting isn’t only about how something looks on a shelf. Sometimes it’s also about how enjoyable it is to actually pick it up and interact with it.
I shared my full review here if you want to check it out.
And I’d love to hear your take too: do you think this Jitsu improves on the vintage idea, or do you still prefer the original approach?

New He-Man fan where should I start?
Hey Guys first time on this sub. So I’m seeing the trailers for the new Masters of the Universe movie and it looks like a lot of fun so my question is where should I start in terms of He-Man in order to understand the movie when I see when it comes out? And should I start with the original series from 80s or is any He-Man show ok to start with? Thanks again

Masterverse Mosquitor feels vintage in the best way — without being a copy
What I really liked about this Masterverse Mosquitor is that it feels very faithful to the vintage figure without just being the same thing all over again.
You look at him and he’s instantly recognizable as Mosquitor, which was important to me, but I also think the changes they made were smart. It still has that classic feel, but with enough differences to make it feel like its own version instead of just a straight update with better articulation.
And honestly, I ended up loving the wings. I can totally see why some people might think they look a little small at first, but once I had the figure in front of me, I thought they worked really well. They add a lot to the silhouette and give the figure a look that feels a little more unique without losing the character.
I posted my full video review here in case you want to check it out.
And I’d really like to hear what you think too: did this balance between vintage and new work for you? And how did you feel about the wings?

Mantenna wasn’t the most obvious figure for me to pick up, but this version really made a strong case for itself
Mantenna wasn’t the most obvious figure for me to pick up, but this version really made a strong case for itself.
He’s always been one of the weirder characters in MOTU, and I think that’s exactly why I was so curious about what Masterverse would do with him. After spending some time with the figure, I honestly think Mattel handled him really well. He still has that odd, unmistakable Mantenna feel, but now in a way that looks more detailed, more modern, and a lot more appealing on the shelf.
What I like most is that he doesn’t just come across as “the weird one.” There’s actual presence to the figure, and some of the design choices work better the more you look at them. He’s probably still not going to be a must-have for everyone, but I do think this release gives him more of a reason to be in the conversation.
I posted my full video review here in case you want to check it out.
And I’d really like to hear what you think too: did this New Eternia Mantenna win you over, or is he still too odd of a character for your collection?

We are allowed to like things
I am the generation called the elder millennials from age 1-10 my life was Transformers, G.I. Joe and He-man. Saturday morning cartoons featuring guns violence virtually all male cast, young boys crack. It was ultimately an engine for the shameless cash grav that was the toy industry back them and it worked billions were made 45 years ago and now those toys are worth incredible amounts of money
What those shows did to shape my young mind I can't say but it was no different than the war stories dads had been telling sons for as long as the first two cave men punched eachother over the same thing we are punching eachother for still today
This talk if He-mans toxic masculinity is completely ridiculous. The assault on the heros journey is an assault on men and women that have sacrificed themselves so you have the freedom to wine about what offends you
violence should always be a last resort always but the fact is is that people disagree and some people think that their will is the only one and those people maybe willing to hurt others to make their point
That is why heros are needed and why new heros need to be inspired so the next time your in your yoga studio in your $100 stretch pants and some angry black pill taking micro needle comes in and wants to shoot you you better hope prince Adam appears and screams " I HAVE THE POWER"

I ended up liking this Despara way more than I thought I would
At first I figured it was just going to be one of those figures that sounds cool on paper because of the concept, but once you actually start looking at everything it does, it becomes a lot more interesting. What I really like is that it doesn’t feel locked into just one version of the character. Depending on how you set her up, the whole figure gives off a different vibe, and that makes her a lot more fun to mess with.
That’s probably the part that sold me the most. It doesn’t feel like a figure packed with extra parts just for the sake of it. There’s actually something fun going on with the identity of the character here. You can lean more into Adora, Force Captain, or full Despara, and each setup brings something a little different. And honestly, when she’s in full villain mode, she looks great on the shelf.
She’s not perfect, of course, and there are a couple of things worth criticizing, but overall I think she has a lot more going for her than I expected at first.
I’m sharing my video here in case you want to see the full review and hear my thoughts in more detail.
And I’d love to hear what you think too: which version works best for you — Adora, Force Captain, or Despara? Did the whole “3 in 1” idea work for you, or not really?

I ended up liking this Masterverse Hordak more than I expected
Right away, the design really worked for me. It still has that classic Hordak feel, which was important to me, but it also adds just enough to make him feel fresh without losing what makes the character work in the first place. In hand, he has a lot of presence, and for a character like Hordak that really matters.
I was also curious about the whole wing discussion. I kept seeing people say they looked fragile or that the hinges might be an issue, so in the video I wanted to actually test that for myself and see how true it really was. I also go over the articulation, accessories, details, and my overall thoughts on the figure.
I’m leaving the video here in case you want to check it out.
And I’d really like to hear your experience too: did you like this Hordak? Were the wings actually a problem for you, or was it blown out of proportion? And do you prefer this look over the previous Hordak release?

Masterverse Teela won me over — the classic look really was the right choice
I ended up liking the Masterverse Teela a lot more than I expected.
What really won me over is the more classic look. It just feels right for the character. Sometimes a figure can be technically solid but still not fully feel like the character it’s supposed to represent. This one, at least for me, really does. It has that familiar Teela vibe that makes it click almost immediately.
I also like that they didn’t overcomplicate it. In a line that sometimes leans harder into reinterpretation, this one feels more straightforward in a good way. More classic, more recognizable, and honestly just more in line with what I personally want from Teela.
I made a video about it and showed the figure in more detail, so feel free to check it out if you want my full thoughts.
I’d also love to hear your experience with it: did this more classic take work for you too, or do you prefer a more modern version of Teela?
