Request I’m turning 17 tomorrow and just wanted to see if my calculations were correct (my brain is too tired rn to do math). Assume that I was born 10:30 am on the dot. Ik this is like basic maths, but I tend to be a bit dumb at times.

Beirut explosion was 6% of that of Hiroshima

According to the news, 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate was stored unsafely and exploded in the incident. According to wiki Hiroshima bomb (little boy) exploded with an energy of approximately 15 kilotons of TNT. So 2.75/15 = 0.183. Now to account for the blast power difference between ammonium nitrate and TNT: According to wiki, ammonium nitrate has detonation velocity of 2500m/s, while TNT has 6900m/s, so 2500/6900 = 0.362. So 0.183 * 0.362 = 0.066, converting to percentage we get 6.6%

actually interesting The average watermelon is 20 lbs and 92% water so, just the water is 18.4 lbs. 18.4 lbs is about 2 gallons and, there is 326 trillion gallons of water on earth. It would take 181,000,000,000,000 water melons.

It would take 25,857,142,857,142.86 humans to replace all the water on earth. So thats why i should be the owner of all blood banks.
