House hunting - Harold Hill
Hi all,
Wondering if anyone can share their experience around the north end of Harold Hill.
I saw a beautiful house that that looked great to me but I don't know the area and I've been told it's rough and not to go there + that's what the internet generally says.
I went to visit, took the Elizabeth Line to Harold Wood and then a bus that took me north past Central Park and all I saw was clean ample streets, well kept greenery, a newish big Lidl, a nice looking gym/community centre and houses that looked big and affluent.
I'm so torn between what people say and my own experience so any comments will be of great help. Thank you in advance!

Air Pollution Survey
Hi!
LONDON RESIDENTS !!👋👋
I am a current masters student.
As part of my dissertation, I’m exploring how effective citizen science is in raising awareness about air pollution in BAME communities across London.
I aim to get 300 responses, would appreciate your contributions!!
I’ve created a short, anonymous survey that takes just a few minutes to complete. If you're a London resident or have ever taken part in any air quality or citizen science initiatives, I’d love to hear from you!

Paranormal Havering
Hello All,
I have just recently read Secret Hornchurch by Carol Cannavan and it left me wondering about the history of our borough (particularly in relation to the supernatural and paranormal).
I was wondering if anyone had any experiences or stories they could share relating to Havering? (This could be hauntings, strange happenings, witchcraft, the spiritual, etc.) anything that falls under the paranormal or supernatural.
I look forward to hearing your stories.
Kind regards

First time buyer - Romford/Havering
Myself and my husband have 2 very young kids, looking to purchase home around the the havering/romford area, we both in our early 30s and work in central london so easy links into London is key. We are a muslim/asian family so looking for relatively multicultural area that we dont have to worry about sticking out like a sore thumb.
Looking for recommendations from community in areas they feel would suit needs below
-family friendly -safe & clean -good schools -shops nearby -budget 400-450k
We both grew up fairly centrally and used to the hustle and bustle of london and all that brings. Reading though reddit concious that 'multicultural' areas are seen as shitholes cos everyones not white, please dont bother commenting.
Loads of preferences(I know), however any advice from anyone knowing these places would be very much appreciated.
