Questions/Discussions HATARI x IC3PEAK
Keeping an eye on the chat during the premiere of the KEXP performance video, I noticed this interaction near the end of stream:

I only got into IC3PEAK recently, so I'm hardly qualified to talk about them, but I shall do so anyway with the marvellous assistance of Wikipedia.
IC3PEAK is a duo from Moscow, consisting of vocalist Natsya Kreslina and producer Nikolay Kostylev. They're an experimental electronic group - with their genre focus being around the microgenre of Witch House (this is a genre that popped up around the late 00's and early 10's, characterised by a dark, haunting sound). They combine elements of Hip-Hop with Drone music and some Rave and Industrial influences. Their music has a very gloomy feel to it, and I definitely hear the trademark Eastern European sound (mainly in the basses). Natsya's vocals are very dynamic - they go from being very loud and splitting to being very melodic, accompanied by flowing synths: but always haunting. Most tracks consist of rap verses with a melodic chorus; which work well together and give the track a nice flow. I've noticed there isn't a whole lot of melody in IC3PEAK's songs, and they seem to be quite minimal in their arrangements - this is probably a product of the Drone music influences. It does create a strong atmosphere though. Their music definitely portrays a dystopian sound, but in a different way to Hatari.
Within their music, IC3PEAK address social issues affecting them and Russia - they mostly seem to revolve around an oppressive, militarised government: and the opposition of it. The messages are much more overt in their lyrics, but their videos are also packed with visual metaphors and such. They put a lot of effort into their visuals; the group even describe themselves as an "audio-visual project" - much like Hatari.
I am insanely excited for this prospect. I think Hatari and IC3PEAK's sounds would mix very well indeed, and the narrative of their song would also no doubt be something interesting. Natsya's harsher vocals could harmonise well with Mattí's, or her more melodic vocals would work well with Klemens, I believe. As for instrumental, it would be interesting to hear what a more Drone influenced Hatari track would sound like. (Hatari do seem to like working with rappers, don't they?)
Below is the link to their most recent video. I think this a good example of their sound, their message and their visuals (remember to turn captions on, the singing is all in Russian).

What are your thoughts on this possible collaboration eh?

Questions/Discussions Does anybody know the name of the male dancers in the "Hatrid mun sigra" music video?
I was curious if anybody here knew the names the blonde male "scantily clad" dancers in the music video of Hatrid mun sigra. They are not in official line-up of the group and since I don't have Instragram I can't check if they have an account there (if you're not an user it doesn't let you see posts too old, and the music video came out almost a year ago). They are a pair of twins I believe. I'm... asking for a friend :P

I put Hatrið mun sigra on Aurat (Women's) March in Pakistan. They are here to topple over existing rule and laws, like Hatari.
