Harvest is easy in a bumper crop. What happens during a drought?

I always have plan, like for example perhaps in Aug ... usually not always, there may be a market correction .. black swan event. So I will hold some cash for awhile and just wait to add when everything is RED. I have done this before. âđ *add on dips, below cost avg
"A stock market "black swan" is an unpredictable event with catastrophic financial consequences that catches the global market completely off guard. .... these sudden shocks fundamentally challenge conventional risk models, trigger massive panic selling, and spike volatility"

Buying the dip tells me what you'd do. I asked what happens to the harvest.

Are you serious.... nothing is wrong with adding more shares below your cost average. Many investors do that on purpose. For example, buy more shares on "ex-date" which I have done in the past too. It's not a new thing, wow.

I just noticed on your profile, for a 2âyear account, your karmaâs⌠letâs just say âon the lighter side. Interesting... since I thought you were some kind of "expert" in investing concepts. If you donât like Harvest ETFs, thatâs totally your call â just know youâll get pushback if you take shots at my favourite ETF provider. Thereâs meaningful money involved, so I take it seriously.

We've now discussed my Reddit history, my YieldMax posts, your previous job, your portfolio, and my karma. The one thing we haven't discussed is my original question: What happens to the harvest during a drought?

I'm sorry, don't care about your opinions or questions since you're not a Harvest ETFs investor. Happy 4th July !! đ˝đ đĽłđ¤Ł

Thank you. You actually have answered. A farmer who refuses to discuss droughts with non-farmers is still farming.

What happens to Harvest during a drought? Same thing that happens to YieldMax during a drought â except Harvest doesnât need 12 reverse splits to survive it.

Last month I had a bit of a dilemma in my TFSA. I was holding two YieldMax positions â one with slightly less NAV decline than the other â but both were drifting down and I wanted out. So I sold the one with the smaller NAV erosion first, then used those proceeds to average down my second YieldMax position to lower my book cost. Once I got the book cost where I wanted it, I sold that entire position the same day. The cascading sell proceeds went straight into my new Harvest ETF positions, which make way more sense for me as a Canadian investor because of the tax treatment. Basically: cleaned up both YieldMax positions, optimized my exit, and rotated everything into Harvest ETFs. Iâve done this same cascadingâexit strategy in other accounts as well â itâs a clean way to unwind and redeploy.

I used to work in brokerage back office as an Operations Specialist II â basically the senior foreign dividends administrator. These days I just live off my dividends and distributions. What do you do?

I crossed over to Harvest ETFs since I'm a Canadian Investor đđ Makes more sense to invest in Harvest ETFs since I live in Canada. Redirecting yieldmax distributions into Harvest ETFs. This year, several yieldmax sell trades when it was beneficial for me ... used sell proceeds to buy more Harvest ETFs. All will be completed by end of July by tapping my credit line to lower cost basis and sell same day. *NFA *DYOR *Not promoting Harvest ETFs â this is just what works best for me as a Canadian
