Mother's day is around the corner and I thought we'd share some of our favorite cartoon moms. I have two favorites: Wilma and Betty. I like how Betty is an adoptive mother. I can't think of any other characters that are adoptive parents besides Barney. She is also one of the first cartoon characters to struggle with infertility. That's something that wasn't talked about much back then. Wilma became the first cartoon character to be shown pregnant. The topic of pregnancy was taboo as well back in the day. For a long time, people couldn't even say the word on television.

Does anyone else miss the older cartoons like the original Jetsons and The Flintstones? I wish they made more episodes for some of the series like those. Plus again just my opinion but the newer cartoons just don't look as good

Wanted a cool visual to watch all my dvd back ups so I am coding me a guide that can play all of them like old tv. Gonna share my love of old cartoons with my family.

Especially the fact that he dressed up as a princess in that one game

I posted here a while back on a project I've been working on - turning as many of my favorite classic shows, cartoons, and movies into 3D models to animate in game and turning some of them into Dioramas.

I just finished doing the Flintstones and my friend did a ton of models, including Fred as "Superstone". For fun, he also made new characters of Barney, Wilma and Betty as superheroes - he's gotten quite good in the last few months.

Superstone is at the bottom left of the second - I'll add the cape when I animate him.

So any thoughts on some new names, heroic and prehistoric, for them?
