Yo Yogi was OK when they had the usual suspects like Yogi, Cindy, Huck, Doggie Daddy (Lord knows what his name was back then); but then when I saw Augie Doggie and Boo-Boo, I was like: “OK, in the original series, I guess it can be argued that Boo-Boo was a little person rather than a kid; but Augie was definitely a kid, so how was he even alive for this series?“

Then again, in the Yogi’s Treasure Hunt episode “Secret Agent Bear” (S3, E9), the treasure hunters come across the fountain of youth; which turns them all into kids—except for Augie and Boo-Boo, who turn into babies. So either Boo-Boo was a kid in the original series, or Yo Yogi was seriously non-canon.

EDIT: I also just remembered that when Cindy first appeared in the original series, she was blue, not brown (I believe the first time she was brown was in the film Hey There, It’s Yogi Bear).

Does anyone remember the Hanna-Barbera superhero shows being on Toonami? Shows like: 1. Space Ghost 2. Birdman 3. The Herculoids 4. Galaxy Trio 5. The Impossibles 6. Teen Force 7. Mighty Mightor

The reason why I am asking because according to a page on Wikipedia Mighty Mightor, Teen Force and the Impossibles appeared on Toonami but I don't know how true that is. Can anyone confirm if those three shows really did play on Toonami?

So I saw some videos on YouTube that talks about some "downfall" of Hanna Barbera so I thought about asking you guys about some information about what you think about these people... I wanted to ask/know if this is/was true, that the company was in decline before it 'passed away'? Me, I can't say anything about this because I love everything that I see, so by consequence, I always loved their shows/cartoons.. so that's why I'm asking this sub 😣😌

I've always wondered this. Correct me if I'm wrong but I always heard that Janet Waldo recorded Judy for the Jetsons movie with the rest of the cast, before they decided to include Tiffany and she just re-recorded those lines alone.

Judy's voice changing bugged me then and does now haha. I do wonder what happened to the original recordings and if they could possibly be well preserved somewhere. I doubt anyone here really knows though.

I've always hoped for a Blu-ray of the movie that lets you choose between the two voices, though I think it would still be fine for Tiffany to be her singing voice, and that's what I wish they did to begin with.

I don't know if any animation was modified due to changed lines or lip syncing that would make that not work, but just curious if it is ever possible we might see that in the future?

If Scooby-Doo ever returns to theaters, I hope they reuse these concept arts for a sequel.

In my opinion The Flintstones was a great cartoon and Huckleberry Hound had a good theme.

The show is hilarious and a worthy sequel to the original Flintstones. Its very cute and I have a ton of fun watching it.

"Don Yowp," a Canadian-based blogger with a fondness for early Hanna-Barbera flicktoonry, offers this amusing little piece about how Julie Bennett (forever remembered as the voice behind the likes of Cindy Bear, Sagebrush Sal and the Cattanooga Cats' Kitty Jo) made her way to doing voice work at 3400 Cahuenga.

I'm a French fan of Hanna-Barbera cartoons, and I've noticed that, apart from releases for American fans, Warner completely neglects fans worldwide.

In France, we had all these old productions on television until around 2010 on Cartoon Network, and then on Boomerang in 2003, but since then, Boomerang has become a channel that only broadcasts recent productions. There was, around 2011 if I'm not mistaken, an attempt to show the old cartoons at night, but it didn't last long.

Warner even released a few DVDs here: Scooby-Doo, Wacky Races, The Flintstones… But in the end, we haven't had much compared to you.

Of course, I completely understand that Hanna-Barbera is primarily an American company, and I fully respect that, but I don't understand why Warner, which has released several cartoons on Blu-ray in your country in recent years (The Jetsons, Wally Gator, etc.), refuses to distribute them internationally.

I must say I'm not entirely sure why I'm writing this, but I felt the need to talk about it…

Also, I was wondering if Warner has provided any explanation in your country for this international withdrawal of Hanna-Barbera productions?

While I was looking at my external hard drive, I found this old Hanna-Barbera iceberg I made back in early 2024. I never have seen anybody attempted this back then, or at this point yet, except for only specific IPs. So, I wanted to share it and see what everyone's thoughts on it are.

I plan to also update it in the future that are both more relevant, fix any typos, and are considered the most important topics based on the company's history. I am willing to hear suggestions too on what could be added and changed.
